Painful and expensive leason learned. I just wasted $56 on clothes. Now I know better than to buy mystery boxes of clothing. I got a beige chiffon dress with fuschia pink flowers that looks like an ugly cake – like those nightmare online dresses from China. The two tops look like they’re from Goodwill. At least the romper is nice in wine color which I can use at home because it’s too short for outside. I will stick to mystery beauty boxes from hwre onwards. Clothing is personal 🙁

How do you sign up for this subscription, is it a monthly one? I’m confused I went to their site but didn’t see anything about a monthly sub. Can someone tell me how mod cloth works?

I think this was a sale they had (so a one-time, or periodic thing), not a subscription. Probably to clear out unsold inventory!

My strategy is to buy 3 and if I really like 1 then it’s still a decent deal. If I can swap away the others even better but if not someone at Goodwill may like it. It looks like these surprise bags used to be $15 in previous years for apparel, so they’ve lowered the price to $10

I am so glad I saw your post Friday! I love looking at ModCloth but everything is way too expensive for me to actually buy! I didn’t know that the sizes run small…. so I hope whatever I get actually fits. I ordered a shoes box and apparel. By the time I got to the website the accessories had sold out! Can’t wait to see what I get!

SO BUMMED that everything’s sold out but Apparel, but I snagged one of those. Like everyone, I’m wondering if I should have bought an L instead of M. Forgot that everything on Mod Cloth runs small.
Wahhh, I feel sad that I missed shoes and accessories. Wow, I spent one day away from my computer yesterday and look what happened! (I saved money – LOL!)

Missed the shoe deal, all sizes sold out….and the accessories deal, but did snag one apparel box….if it’s too Junior my daughter can have it. Or I can consign it if neither of us likes it!!! (hoping for a dress!!!!)

I find that most of the things I have purchased from mod cloth run small. I hope I didn’t make a mistake by ordering 2 large. Maybe I should of gotten a medium to even it out.

I have the same concerns as you! Hopefully the larges will fit, even though I usually wear a medium. If not, maybe we will get lucky and there will be people who ordered mediums, and need larges, who will get the same or similar things and want to swap!

I worried about that too, so I contacted their customer service to see if I could change my order. After an hour, it’s too late, but they gave me a free shipping code so I could buy the other size. The customer service rep told me they have a swap group on facebook too.

I’m mostly break yet I couldn’t resist! (Yay for credit cards) I got 2 shoes and 4 apparel (in 2 different sizes). I wasn’t sure which size I should get since my waist and hips are drastically different in sizes. The internet is killing my wallet! But I figured 4 outfits and 2 pairs of shoes for $50 was a great deal. And whatever I don’t like I can swap or sell 🙂

I have always wanted to order from ModCloth, but it’s too expensive for me. So I easily caved on this & got 1 apparel & 1 shoe. It took forever to get through, then it wouldn’t let me get to my shopping cart. But I just checked out & I’m so excited to finally be able to say I can afford ModCloth 😉 unless they’re hideous, I’ll probably be pretty happy 🙂

I got the clothing one with shipping $14 – never shopped with them before. I would have done a shoe too but I don’t wear flats AT ALL and since you can’t choose I thought not.

The internet and PayPal are the devil and you are in league with them with the swap site! Seriously, I don’t even have to get up to go to my purse to get a credit card anymore! And with the option to swap, I might as well order a few extra to see what I get. I already went wild on the Fancy mystery box and now this? I have no self control at all. None. Period.

I just called them, because I wanted in on this. They said they are having a problem because sooooo many people are trying to order, but that once they get back up and running (their techs are working on it) that they will continue to run the sale, so we should still be able to get something! Yay! Just keep checking on it, because they had no timeframe.
