Her Fashion Box Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Box

Her Fashion Box is a subscription box from Australia. They recently opened up subscriptions to ship Internationally, so I immediately signed up for Her Fashion Box and Her Fitness Box. (My fitness box had shipping issues and is being re-shipped, so hopefully I’ll get it in the next week or so!)

Her Fashion Box Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Items

The Subscription Box:Β Her Fashion Box

The Cost: $39.95 (Australian dollars)

The Products: The fashion box includes fashion and accessory items plus beauty products, and the fitness box includes fitness products, and deluxe health and wellness samples.

Her Fashion Box Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Shop

This month’s box came with Shop Til You Drop magazine. I love reading international magazines, so this was one of my favorite parts of the box. (There’s an ad in this magazine for The Real Housewives of Melbourne – I can’t believe I didn’t know there were Real Housewives spin-offs in other countries!)

Her Fashion Box Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Mini Mag

There’s also a mini magazine from Her Fashion Box that highlights the items included in the box for that month.

Her Fashion Box Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Info

It definitely feels more editorial than your standard subscription box card!

Her Fashion Box Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Mirense

Mirenesse Lip Bomb – Value $35

I had no idea Mirenesse products were free from parabens, phthalates and other potentially harmful ingredients – I think I may have to try out their subscription now! (If you subscribe to the Mirenesse box let me know if you recommend it or not!)

Her Fashion Box Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Self Tanner

Bondi Sands Summer Bronze Instant Tan in Light/Medium – Value $18 RRP

Urban Rituelle Petit Parfum Spray in Ginger Apple – Value $15 RRP

These brands are both new to me (which is exactly what I was hoping for from an International box). Plus I’m always looking for the next great self-tanner, so I will definitely give this one a try!

Her Fashion Box Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Chapstick

ChapStick Day & Night – Value $7 RRP

Shadow Shields – Sample

These shadow shields stick under your eyes when you put on eyeshadow to prevent any stray color getting on your makeup. They may end up being more trouble than they are worth (like with a lash card I sampled through Birchbox a while ago) – we’ll see!

Her Fashion Box Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Necklace

Her Fashion Box Bubble Bracelets – $24.95 RRP

Her Fashion Box Stepping Stones Necklace – $19.95 RRP

Each Her Fashion Box comes with a jewelry piece. This month you could get one of a few different necklace and bracelet sets.

Her Fashion Box Subscription Box Review - Feb 2014 Style

I wasn’t super excited when I saw the pieces, but they look nice in the magazine, so maybe they will grow on me!

Verdict: I paid about $30 (US) for this box, after coupon, and I received over $100 RRP worth of products – plus a magazine! (Since most of these products are from Australian companies, I’m using their dollars in this review). I’m happy with the value, I love getting boxes from overseas, and I’m excited to see what’s in the March box (when I get it in April! πŸ™‚

  1. I would love to see a review on Mirenesse subscription box. I really like the products and would love to get the box but I don’t want to sign up until I see a review of it.

  2. I received this box in the feminine style. I have such mixed feelings about it! I like the lip bomb and the tanner. I like the idea of the perfume but the scent reminds me of this country apple air freshener my mom used as kids when we were sick….yuck! It is a nice product just not for me. I thought the jewelry was cute…maybe a little too youthful. When I went to put them on I realized the clasp on my necklace was broken and one of the bracelets snapped in two :(. That being said customer service got right back to me and are supposed to be sending replacements. Also I have had the other two bracelets on my wrist non-stop to bed/shower and they are doing great and a nice pop of color in this still cold weather. I am giving them one more shot except I am hoping to get my next box before I am charged for April.

  3. Like everyone else I was not impressed with the fashion pieces even though past boxes seemed decent enough , I will give a box 3 strikes.

  4. Liz, mine has a weird shipping issue too. My shipping tracking says they “tried to deliver” March 7th and then there is no sign of it after that. Did you have the same issue? If so, did you contact the Australian shipping company or Her Fashion box?

    • I contacted Her Fashion Box – they got back to me within a day and reshipped the box out. We’ll see how long it takes to get here!

  5. I received this box and was not as impressed as you were Liz. The jewelry seems a little cheap. I would not pay $39 Australian dollars ($35 US ) dollars for a lip satin/gloss. It is interesting that the same item is listed on Amazon for $13.50. I will say that I like the Her Fashion magazine that describes the items and has photos inside. It is a nice touch. The additional magazine was a plus.
The Her Fitness Box value was a big disappointment. I will look forward to your review on that box.

    • I was NOT happy with the Fitness Box either, and cancelled very quickly. So sad because it had potential.

      • I agree it had lots of potential. I cancelled both boxes, Her Fashion and Her Fitness.

  6. I might wait till next month, this month didn’t look to great to me.

  7. This box looks really cool. I’m putting it on my Wish List. πŸ™‚

  8. That’s interesting. I’ll watch for more reviews. I’m happy to try new beauty products but have a hard time trusting a box to pick the right accessories for me. πŸ™‚
