Fancy Mystery Box Review – Men’s Edition Box

In addition to their regular subscriptions, Fancy recently released a Mystery Box(still available!) and considering it was only $10 plus shipping I had to buy a Men’s and Women’s box!

This review is of the Men’s box, and I posted the review of the Women’s Box yesterday!

Fancy Mystery Box Review – Men’s Edition Items

The Box: Fancy Mystery Box

The Cost: $10 plus $7.95 shipping

COUPON: Use coupon code FOLLOWUP10 to save 10%

The Products: Mystery items for men or women worth at least $30

Ships to: Everywhere!

Fancy Mystery Box Review – Men’s Edition Head Scratcher

Kikkerland Head Massager – Value $7.50

Work Hard Stay Humble Decal – Value $20

It seems like these items are showing up  in most mystery boxes. Now I have two head scratchers!

Fancy Mystery Box Review – Men’s Edition Pouch

Aqua Pouch Speaker – Value $20

We received one of these before from a Fancy Box, and it works really well. I may send this one to my brother in college with his next care package!

Fancy Mystery Box Review – Men’s Edition Shades

GameDay Moisturizer + SPF 30 Sample – Value $1

The Fancy Wayfarer – Value $30

Verdict: We paid $16.95 for this box (with shipping) and received a little over $75 worth of items. I think the value is great, but a lot of these items were repeats for us, so this wasn’t a super exciting box for that reason.

I’m still thinking of buying another Men’s and Women’s Mystery box to see what I get – but I’m worried I’ll just end up with a lot of head scratchers and decals! What did you get in your Men’s Mystery Box?

  1. My women’s mystery box contained three items but I’m actually pretty pleased with them. (Keep in mind my expectations were super low.) I got the waterproof speaker pouch and the wayfarers. Then I got this really weird “lipstick” (which is apparently “not for cosmetic use and only for hair”) that you use under blacklight. I have no idea what to do with the last but the first two are actually kind of neat and well worth the $17 I spent on the box + shipping. I do think it’s odd that I only got three items but since two were bigger ticket items I’m okay with it.

  2. I got my men’s box today and it was really amazing. O___O I honestly did not expect it to have such a high value after seeing all the boxes that other people have received so far.

  3. I got one Women’s and one Men’s. I got everything the same EXCEPT the sunglasses in the men’s box. WTH. That would have been the most desirable item.

  4. Let’s boycot Fetch.
I am cancelling if CS doesn’t make right.

  5. Okay, so I’m a dork and looked up the word “humble” and I feel like we missuse that word to make it sound like some sort of positive character trait, but I don’t thing having a low estimate of ones own value and being meek is the best character trait.

Definition: “having or showing a modest or low estimate of one’s own importance.”

synonyms:meek, deferential, respectful, submissive, diffident, self-effacing, unassertive

    • Not over inflating ones own self importance is actually a great quality to posess. That said, it’s irrelevant what the definition is by terms of a dictionary, it’s all in how it’s used in society, much the same as slang. Many people wear t-shirts, etc with slang messages to express ones feelings or ideals. Being humble is synonymous with being selfless and having no ego. This is a great compliment in a society so full of narcissistic people.

      • I see your point. I think selfless or modest are some of the better ways to view humble. Often it seems like false modesty, when the word is used to describe one’s own self. In either case, I really hope I don’t get that decal 😉

  6. I ordered one men’s and one women’s. I don’t have high hopes, since Fancy has a way of letting me down. But…. I do really hope I get one of those head scratchers. I always see them at stores and don’t want to try the display model because that seems so unsanitary.

Does anyone else feel like the decal isn’t even a really good message/life lesson? It just almost sounds disempowering to me. I can’t explain why.

    • I’m not sure if all boxes are identical, but If i get a head scratcher I’d be trade for something!

    • Its an ad for fetch and the company that makes them. Webite shows similar items for about 7$.

      EPIC FAIL.

This site is guaranteed great box because of the reviews and ads. At least with boxes that don’t incluse same products in every box.

      Anyone agree?

    • Boo! I got my box today and it has all the bad stuff. Stupid decal and hot pink card holder. I didn’t even get that head scratcher :(. All items are on swap page now. Hoping someone will want them. It’s crazy how much the value differed in people’s boxes. I’m pretty sure the ones that were ordered the first time (before they sold out and then relisted) are the ones that actually had good things. Lesson learned.

  7. I got the same box, minus the sunglasses, which is bothering me! I thought the box was horrible for 10, plus shipping so around $17! I won’t fall for Fancy’s trap again. The wall decal is the most pointless thing I have ever seen!

  8. Box of straws
    Cord holder
Laminate wall hanger which was an ad for the comp. that makes them.
It cost more to ship than it was worth.

  9. I think its really lame that they include duplicate products in their boxes so if somebody subscribes to more than one box then its likely that they will get multiples of the same thing. Its a huge disincentive to having more than one subscription.

  10. My box had a package of paper straws, a sample of face scrub, that awful wall decal, and a cord organizer. Pure garbage, this was not my first Fancy box, but it will most definitely be my last!

    • Mine had the same Patrick, though I wasn’t upset about it, I feel like I got my $10 worth and I will use the cord manager and the straws.

My womens Fancy mystery box was much better, I was extremely pleased with that one.

  11. I figured it would be hot or miss. In the women’s box, I also received the head scratcher, wall decal, silver China Glaze polish, and Gin and Tonic bath salts. Not bad at all but not for me. These are going up for swaps or getting gifted. Hopefully the other women’s and men’s box I ordered will be better.

  12. That’s exactly what was in my mens box! Minus the sunglasses, totally not happy with this one!

    • I am sure customer service is off the hook today! I think they just threw in some leftovers.

    • Same, here! Got all of the above, except the glasses! I got the ladies box and got the China nail polish, the plastic wallet, two notebooks and that same stupid cling! Not happy because I paid like $15.95 in shipping for these! Very Lame!

      • Its an ad for fetch and the company that makes them. Webite shows similar items for about 7$.

        EPIC FAIL.

This site is guaranteed great box because of the reviews and ads. At least with boxes that don’t incluse same products in every box.
