Fancy Food Box Review - January 2014 Box

The Fancy Food Box is one of my favorite Fancy boxes - they consistently send out gourmet food that's new to me, and they sometimes include a fun food-related item like a fondue set!

We've been subscribing since the first box, but this month Fancy kindly sent me the January Food Box at no cost to review.

Fancy Food Box Review - January 2014 Items

The Subscription Box: Fancy Food Box

The Cost: $39 a month plus shipping

The Products: Gourmet and specialty food and snacks.

Check out all my Fancy Food Box reviews and the Food Subscription Box Directory!

Fancy Food Box Review - January 2014 Cards

Each box comes with cards detailing each item included. (Somehow I always seem to end up missing a card or two).

Fancy Food Box Review - January 2014 Pistachios

The Gilded Nut Snack Co. Pistachios in Habanero Heat and Mediterranean Herb - Value $12 total

My husband and I have been looking for lots of healthy snacks to start the new year off right, and these fit the bill perfectly - no added sugar!

Fancy Food Box Review - January 2014 Tea

Kusmi Tea in BB Detox (20 Sachets) - Value $16

I've sampled this tea before through Birchbox and I love the flavor, so I'm thrilled to have a whole box of it. (It is supposed to be good for your skin too!)

Fancy Food Box Review - January 2014 Tea Cup

Sweater Cup and Saucer - Value $14

I usually just drink my tea out of a mug, but this set makes me want to take everything up a notch - it's so cute! (And I'm thrilled that I can wash it in the dishwasher!)

Fancy Food Box Review - January 2014 Candy

Baru Chocolate Covered Caramel Marshmallows - Value $14

Charlito's Cocina Campo Seco Dry Cured Italian Style Sausage - Value $15

These marshmallows look absolutely decadent, and I need a small gift this week, so these will be it! (I need to get them out of the house 🙂

Verdict: This box has a retail value of a little over $70 - a very impressive value for a food box! We'll use everything, and the marshmallows will make a great little gift, so I'm thrilled with the curation of the box as well.

What did you think of the January 2014 Fancy Food Box?

Loving this box Liz! Especially the sweater mug and nuts. Like another mentioned above, I don’t have the $ in my budget for this at the moment but I’m loving this one and the Nina Garcia and trying to figure a way to get one! In the meantime, I’ve been hunting through Homegoods and specialty stores to find similar snacks and food items.

$39/month is not in my budget, but you sure did get a nice box! And the sweater cup is lovely. I read the review last month you did and you had an item from Ovenly and I had just saw a program they were in on Cooking Channel – so this box is on top of the trendy food items.

Love reading your reviews, just trying not to get tempted to indulge, although with coupon codes I have two on the way this month 🙂

If $39 isn’t in your budget, you better stay away from Mantry.com!!
