Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review - December 2013 Bag

The Vegan Cuts Beauty Box is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. All of their products are vegan (and they tend to be natural and healthy too!). I've been subscribing since the first box, and I really like it!

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review - December 2013 Nail Polish

Color Club Harlem Lights Mini Nail Polish Set - Value $8

This set is my favorite item in the box! I love Color Club polish, and I just love nail polish minis, so this set is perfect for me! The colors from left to right are: Sugar Rays, Apollo Star, Lady Holiday, and Savoy Nights.

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review - December 2013 Coin Purse

LA Fresh Oil-Free Face Cleanser Wipes (2) - Value $1

Lavishy Vegan Leather Pouch - Value $6

I love all the LA Fresh wipes from their eco-beauty line (I think I use them every day), so I'm always happy to have more!

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review - December 2013 Ferro

Soapbox Soaps Body & Soul Wash - Sample Value $.50

Jersey Shore Sun Vegan Lip Balm - Value $5

Everyday Minerals Matte Blush and Finishing Powder - Samples

Ferro Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Misty Rose - Deluxe Sample Value $8

The Soapbox Soap body wash has a great scent, and I can't to wait to use it in my next shower. I also like that vegan lip balm is made with lots of organic ingredients! (Just looking at the Ferro and Everyday Minerals samples has me picturing powder getting everywhere, so I may not end up trying them).

Verdict: With the exception of the Everyday Minerals samples (foil packets + powder = my sample nightmare), I really like the December box. I paid  $19.95 for this box, and it has a value of about $30. I will use or try every thing, so that's a good value for me. (Though I might end up gifting that cute dog coin pouch). And I can't wait to try out all my new Color Club polish!

What do you think of the December Vegan Cuts Beauty Box?

Do you still receive the Vegan Cuts box? I have been waiting for your review for the January box but it hasn’t come yet. I didn’t think it was really worth $20 and I would love to see a product break down. Ps I am addicted to your website!

My box didn’t have the adorable doggy change purse or the lip balm as pictured above – all items were the same including the nail polish and the eye shadow. Instead, my box had the Pacifica lip balm included in last month’s box and more foil packet samples… things that appeared to be in the October box. This is my first box from VC and I think it may also be my last.

Maybe email their customer support team? From my understanding all Vegan Cuts boxes should be the same.

Hi Liz. Thanks for your suggestion to contact vegan cuts customer care. I did reach out to vegan cuts customer care shortly after receiving the box outlining my concerns re: lack of full-sized product, overabundance of foil packets, products from previous months. While vegan cuts customer care responded they just justified their decisions to send me these products – including 5mL of each shampoo & conditioner samples in foil packets for my shoulder length hair – vegan cuts offered me no options or solutions for my concerns. Its kind of sad because the boxes featured here look really nice and mine wasn’t. I was not pleased with the products I received or the response from vegan cuts so cancelled my subscription.

I love this box except for the foil samples. I don’t know about getting the minerals out of the little package. That could be a mess. I love love love the leather pouch. I like the nail polish too. I’m looking at ingredients more and more and that is becoming a big factor in whether or not I will buy something. I think this box is definitely worth a shot at subscribing.
