I got the same email a few hours later as well. I am still trying to convince them that they need to honor the price that was on the confirmation invoice that they emailed me. How can they not?

I had the same problem on a yearly subscription. They initially honored it and then reneged only offering $11.97 off with coupon code. Terrible. I was exited to give this to my niece but not for over $200.

I used the coupon code on a 3 month subscription and it worked. However, about an hour or two later, I received an email telling me the code was only good for the first month, not the entire subscription and they would have to charge me an additional $14 even though it allowed me to apply the code to the entire order.
As politely as I could, I told them I felt this was a little unprofessional and I was no longer interested in their service and they could NOT charge me for anything else.

Thanks for letting me know. That’s unfortunate 🙁

First off, Liz, I love your site!

What’s interesting is that they blamed it on other “websites” putting out their coupon code.

Quote from the email I received: “Again, we are so sorry for this inconvenience as we can not control what other websites put out as our coupons.”

In my opinion, even if the code was obtained from another website, it should have processed on their website as intended with the 60% off on the first month of a new monthly subscription. However, it processed with the 60% off of the entire subscription. How is a processing mistake caused by other websites publishing information about the deal? The explanation below seems very sketchy to me. They may not be able to control what other websites publish, but they should not blame others for their mistake.
