Taste Trunk Healthy Subscription Box Review – October 2013
Taste Trunk is a monthly food subscription service. They offer 4 options: Gourmet, Health, BBQ and Sweets. This review is of the Healthy Taste Trunk. I’ve been subscribing to this box for a few months now and really like it – the quality of the items is great, and the presentation is wonderful too. I think it would make a great gift!
The Box: The Health Trunk from Taste Trunk
The Cost: $29 plus $5.99 shipping
The Products: Each month you will receive a new trunk with 5-10 handpicked items from Taste Trunk’s favorite brands
Dang Toasted Coconut Chips – Value $3
Bountiful Pantry Farmhouse Chowder Mix – Value $8.50
Uncle Eddie’s Oatmeal Raisin Vegan Cookies – Value $6
These cookies are all organic and vegan, so they’re about as healthy as cookies get. I couldn’t eat them though since I avoid gluten, so I assumed they wouldn’t get eaten for a while (at least not while there were much less healthy dessert options in the house). I was completely surprised though to find that my husband absolutely loved them. He said they were the best oatmeal raisin cookies he’s ever had – vegan or not!
Grains of Wellness Black Rice Chips – Value $3
Giddy Up & Go Granola – Value $6
These rice chips are vegan and gluten-free – and really good!
Nunes Farms Sweet Chipotle Almonds – Value $3
Peeled Snacks Apple Clusters – Value $1
California Crunchies Maui Onion Almonds – Value $3
Uncle Lee’s Tea Organic Tea (10 bags) – Value $2.50
I love that all the teas they included are organic. I’ve gotten into tea lately, so this is a great sampler for me!
Verdict: I paid $29 plus shipping for this box and received about $36 worth of products. Everything in this box was healthy and natural or organic, so I’m very happy with the quality of the products in this box. We will use everything in the box, and I’m excited to try out the Bountiful Pantry Farmhouse Chowder mix!
