MakrBox Review - Handmade Subscription Boxes - Oct 2013

MakrBox is a monthly artisan subscription box. Every month MakrBox sources high-quality hand-crafted goods from talented makers and sends them to you.

I love the concept of this box, and I was so excited to see that MarkBox sent me this box to review!

The Subscription Box: MakrBox

The Cost: $29 plus $5 shipping

The Products: Two or three maker items with WOW factor. More from MakrBox: “We define WOW factor as a mixture of sustainable production, artful craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Most importantly the goods we send must be useful in your day-to-day lifestyle and make your friends say, “wow, that’s incredible, where did you get that!” Our box is for those who appreciate design and know there is always a better alternative to things we use everyday.”

Fisher Woodworking Hardwood Medium Spoon made in Cherry Wood - Value $18

This spoon didn't come with a card, so I don't know too much about the maker, but I can tell you this is officially now the nicest wooden spoon in our kitchen!

Alchemy Goods Night Out Wallet - Value $12

This wallet is made from recycled bike inner tubes! It's super durable and it's waterproof, so I think this would make a great wallet for someone who just needs to carry the essentials! I may end up gifting this one - I have a few recipients in mind who I think would love it!

Verdict: I love discovering new small-companies and products through subscription boxes, so I really enjoy MakrBox. What do you think of the October MakrBox?
