Beauty Box 5 Review - October 2013

I've been subscribing to Beauty Box 5 for a few months now and I'm very happy with this beauty subscription. Currently I'm on the three month plan ($30 for 3 months), but I'm thinking of upgrading to the annual plan - it would then be the cheapest beauty box I subscribe to - $8.25 a month with annual subscription.

This review is of the October 2013 Beauty Box 5 box. This box shipped out a little later in the month than usual, but Beauty Box 5 emailed me on October 11th letting me know there would be a delay and why (an issue with the inserts). I love proactive communication from subscription box companies when there are any issues, so this was fine with me!

Each box comes with a card detailing every item in the box. In the past they've included coupon codes for some of the brands, but not this month.

Beauty Box 5 Review - October 2013

Swissco Glitter Toe Separators - Value $2

Model Co Cheek and Lip Tint - .16 oz Value $11

These glitter toe separators are fun! I was worried some stray glitter would get in my pedicure, but I just tried to brush some off with my hand and it passed the test!

La Fresh Travel Lite Facial Cleansing Wipes - 8 count Value $2.49

Nubar Alter Ego Nail Lacquer in Blondie - .25 oz Value $4

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion - 1 oz Value $1

I love LA Fresh (their eco-beauty line is my favorite), and these facial cleansing cloths will definitely be perfect to pack for traveling. I also love this mini Nubar polish. It's 3-free and will make for a great glitter top coat. I'm not too excited about the Aveeno lotion, but I'm sure it will get used!

Verdict: I paid $10 for the October Beauty Box 5 and received over $20 worth of items - not bad at all! I think I'll use everything in the box, so while it wasn't my favorite box ever, it's definitely a good value for me. I hope in the upcoming months Beauty Box 5 switches up the brands in their boxes - I feel like I've seen some of these brands in past Beauty Box 5 boxes.

What did you think of the October Beauty Box 5 box?

Ehhh, I got some grandma shade lipstick.. I went to go look at my account, I can’t login.. not that excited about this box, I wanted to cancel, but they didn’t reply & charged my account anyways, even if I can’t log into it.. that’s lame.

If you email them they’ll certainly help you out. BTW what color was the lipstick you received?

I got the exact same box as you! 🙂 I already have the lip and cheek stain from a Glossybox ages ago, but what can I expect when I subscribe to 500000000 boxes! Ha!
