Taste Trunk: Sweet Subscription Box Review – July 2013
Taste Trunk is a new food subscription box I’m totally impressed with. They have four different subscription box options, and for July I got all of the boxes (2 I bought myself, and the other 2 Taste Trunk sent to me for reviewing).
Each Taste Trunk comes with a very nice set of cards detailing the items included in the box, and some have recipe suggestions!
The Box: The Sweet Trunk from Taste Trunk
The Cost: $29 plus $5.99 shipping
The Products: Each month you will receive a new trunk with 5-10 handpicked items from Taste Trunk’s favorite brands
Biscotti Bari in Apricot & Pecan – Value $6 total?
Honey Sticks (10) – Value $5
I couldn’t find these biscotti for sale online – it’s a shame because my boyfriend said they were amazing!
East Shore Foods Raspberry Dipping Fudge – Value $1.75
Drunken Monkey Jam – Value $3
These little mini jars were so cute. I’ve definitely developed a taste for Drunken Monkey jam thanks to subscription boxes, so I’m happy to have a mini spare!
CC Made Caramel Corn with Pistachios – Value $4
Kookaburra Liquorice in Green Apple – Value $4.39
The Jam Stand Raspberry Jalepeno Jam – Value $10
Yay – this jam is dairy and gluten free, and the flavor is definitely not like anything I’ve ever tried! The jalepenos give it a kick, but they also make this jam slightly addicting! For the dairy-eaters out there, I read that this jam is perfection when paired with goat cheese.
Nune’s Farms Almond Caramels – Value $8
Verdict: The only reason I didn’t subscribe to this box myself was because I avoid gluten and dairy in my diet, and sweets tend to include at least one of those things. I was very happy to find the jams and honey in this box, and my boyfriend enjoyed just about everything else, so we might end up subscribing to this box too! Which Taste Trunk is your favorite so far?
