MakrBox is a new subscription service that sends you a box of handcrafted maker goods each month. It's definitely a great way to discover locally made products from all over, and they kindly sent me this box to review.

The Box: MakrBox
The Cost: $29 plus $5 shipping
The Products: Two or three maker items with WOW factor. More from MakrBox: "We define WOW factor as a mixture of sustainable production, artful craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Most importantly the goods we send must be useful in your day-to-day lifestyle and make your friends say, “wow, that’s incredible, where did you get that!” Our box is for those who appreciate design and know there is always a better alternative to things we use everyday."

San Juan Island Sea Salt - Value $5
I love that each product in this box comes with it's own card giving background on the maker behind the product, and a map showing where the product was created! This salt is made sustainably by relying only on the sun to transform sea water into sea salt!

Abeego Original Food Storage - 3 Single Flats - Value $15
I had never heard of Abeego before this box. It's an eco-friendly and reusable alternative to saran wrap. What a unique and useful item - love it!

One Good Idea Book from Paper Hammer - Value $10
From the card included:
Paper Hammer is a studio that uses 19th, 20th, and 21st century production techniques. Now that's impressive. They are also part of the Mighty Tieton creative group in Tieton, WA. The purpose of Mighty Teiton is improving the local economy through small, creative businesses.
Verdict: This was a very fun and special box to go open and explore. I love the map cards they included with each product, and all of the makers feature in this month's box are new to me! What do you think of MakrBox?
