Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box Review - August 2013

I was really happy with the contents of the July Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box (a significant improvement over the first box in my opinion), so I couldn't wait for the August box to arrive. Props to Fancy - it seems like they are getting much better with shipping times on their subscriptions!

Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box Review - August 2013

The Box: Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box

The Cost: $39 plus shipping

The Products: $80+ of products selected by Jennifer Love Hewitt!

Check out all my Fancy Box reviews!

Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box Review - August 2013

Motion Armband - $25

Matte Top Coat Nail Polish - Value $6

I had seen a few other subscribers received this armband (or a similar one) in their regular Fancy Box subscriptions - and I somehow missed out. While I tend to stick to my treadmill & TV combo for working out, I will definitely use this when I'm trying to clean up the house and need music to follow me from room to room!

Lipstick Tank - Value $30

This tank is actually pretty long - I'll be using it as a sleep shirt!

Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box Review - August 2013

I Heart Realism Tote - Value $22

FYI  - This is a little smaller than the standard tote size. Fancy seems to love sending out tote bags but that's fine with me. This one will definitely go to use!

Flavor It Infuser Water Bottle - Value $16

This is a glass bottle with a plastic inner piece that holds the fruit. I'm not sure if anyone else cares about this, but I always mention it - this bottle is dishwasher safe and BPA free!

Verdict: I'm definitely happy with the August Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy Box! The value was great too: I paid $39 plus $8 shipping and received nearly $100 worth of product! I'll use everything in the box, but I might gift the water infuser to my mom since we already have one. What did you think of the August box?

Disappointed in the whole box, wish the mobile site would have let me unsubscribe the 3 different times I tried. Also disappointed that I never recieved last month’s box. they sure know how to take your money although they can’t seam to figure out how to ship my july box or reply to the 3 messages I sent them!
As for this box, I already received 2 arm bands from them for a iPhone even tho I was very clear I don’t own a I anything. in my opinion the shirt is ugly, I dont need anotger 99¢ tote bag. I have enough beauty box subscriptions, therefore I have enough top coats and the water bottle is to much like the zinger I already got this spring.
very disappointed 🙁

Heather, this IS the July box. They ship them out at the end of the month, so you get them a month late. The June box was the one with the waffle maker and the first box (May) had the bright orange beanie.

Heather, If you are interested in selling one of the armbands that you have received – I would be interested.

Hmmm. I last month’s box was a huge hit for me, so this one seems disappointing in comparison. I felt this way about Ashton’s and Coco’s box as well this month. I thought Coco’s was still worth the money with the earrings, but Ashton’s not so much since I will only use on item.

In this case I feel meh about the items. I will use the infuser even though it’s the same concept as the citrus zinger I received in a previous box. The tank, tote and top coat are okay….Sadly my favorite item in the box is the bonus item I received for already getting the armband in my April Fancy box! It was a ballerina jewelry stand (link below).

I’m glad Fancy is finally considering their subscribers who subscribe to more than one box! This makes me want to keep subscribing.

I didn’t know they were going to start including bonus items to make up for duplicates. (This makes me so excited!) Do you have to request it, or did you just receive the extra item?

Liz,

I simply got an email before my shipping notice which I copied below for you. I’m very happy Fancy is taking into consideration there are subscribers who want to try more than one subscription. I even love that they included why she picked the bonus item in the email.

“Thanks again for subscribing to Jennifer’s Fancy Box! She went out of her way this month to really curate the box for you. We are aware you also received the April Fancy Box, which has the Motion Armband too (thanks for loving all our boxes by the way!)
At Fancy, we want to make sure you’re always happy with what you receive. As a token of our appreciation, we had Jennifer select one additional item, which will be sent out to you tomorrow: the Ballerina Jewelry Stand by Kikkerland.
Jennifer adores collecting jewelry, and having a place to hang it up and keep it all together is essential to any style-conscious subscriber. Plus, she loves ballet.”

I love the look of the water infuser. What a great idea to spruce up water without artifical flavourings, or mushy floaties.

I got her first box to try it out and cancelled right after…I think I might re-subscribe because I loved the 2nd box and this 3rd box looks nice, as well! I love the armband!

I was happy with this box overall and surprised to see it so early in the month. My only gripe is that I submitted my shirt size info to fancy when requested and was sent the wrong size. I’ve never had a problem with a box before so I hope that their customer service is good.

I had the same problem with the shirt I received in Ashton’s box. Even though I didn’t like the shirt anyway, I still needed my correct size in order to regift it. At first customer service wouldn’t let me exchange more than one item (I was returning the box as well), but once I explained that I received the wrong size and that was the first time that ever happened, they reprocessed my order for the correct size. I haven’t received it yet, but at least the process is in motion.

*I meant book. Returning the book as well. They won’t accept full box returns.

This was such a good box! I love the matte top coat. I used to use an armband when I would rub but they got to be such a pain. I have to be in the mood to listen to a song when I’m running so I skip songs a lot. It just got to be easier for me to hold my phone and run at the same time.
