Hammock Pack Review - July 2013 - Girls' Night Out

Hammock Pack is a monthly subscription box for women that sends you a vacation in a box each month. I recently resubscribed to this box, and I am loving the monthly "escapes!" I just finished "Where'd You Go, Bernadette," from the June Hammock Pack (loved it), so this box showed up just when I needed my next Hammock Pack fix!

Hammock Pack Review - July 2013 - Girls' Night Out

This month's Hammock Pack theme is Girls' Night Out - full of items perfect for a night on the town with your girlfriends.  I think this box theme could just as easily be Girls' Night In - but maybe that's just because I'm a bit of a homebody!

Wine-A-Rita CosmoRita Frozen Drink Mix - Value $12

Barre Energy Bar in Cinnamon Pecan - Value $2

I like a frozen drink mix that is as easy as add a bottle of wine, some ice and blend! This also would make a great addition to giving a bottle of wine as a hostess gift!

Sencha Naturals Pink Dragonfruit Mints - Value $3

These are delicious! And I love that they are infused with green tea!

Giovanni Cosmetics Shaving Cream - Value $7

MaskerAide All Nighter Mask -Value $5

I first discovered the Giovanni brand through Blissmo Box, and then I was hooked on this eco-friendly beauty line! I love the hair products, but I haven't tried their shaving cream before, so I was thrilled to find it in my Hammock Pack. The pink grapefruit and pomegranate scent is amazing, plus the formula is free of parabens, artificial fragrance, and phthalates!

The MaskerAide brand is new to me - and I was so happy to see that it's an eco-friendly brand as well!

Verdict: I paid $25 plus $5 for this box and received $29 worth of quality curated product. I really love the July Hammock Pack! I will use everything - I think I will have a girl's night in party so I can put that Wine-A-Rita mix to use! Do you subscribe to Hammock Pack? What did you think of this month's box?

One shot of the open box shows a $50 wine gift card, but I didn’t see it mentioned in the rundown or total. Was it part of the box? If so, does it require an big additional purchase to get the 50 off? Could really make a difference in the value of this box (to me).

I got one of the Naked Wine $50 cards and purchased their “sampler” collection. I only ended up spending $11 (and that was mostly shipping). Hope that helps!

The website requires a purchase of at least 6 bottles in an order before they’ll ship. It gets pretty expensive, even with the $50 off.

Oh, I didn’t mention it because it does require a purchase, and because I live in PA (where they don’t ship), and I’ve seen these wine cards in lots of subscription boxes lately – so I’m not counting them toward the value of the box.

Hope that helps!
