Wow - Julep has made this month's mystery box tough to resist - they now have three different mystery boxes based on different glamourous travel destinations! Plus, each destination box has different polishes and products. I think I may buy all three considering that I won't get any duplicates!

My first instinct was to not buy the Mystery Box this time- I haven’t even taken the plastic off all the polishes from the last one, and I JUST got my Maven box. I just couldn’t resist though! The excitement of opening the mailbox and seeing that box as well as the actual opening of it alone is worth 25 bucks to me lol.
I picked Laguna.
Random question for any long time Mavens…do you see a lot of overlapping polish colors when you start to buy a lot of the mystery boxes as well as your monthly Maven boxes?

Between the may monthly box and the may mystery box I received two dupes: coco and alice which actually were add ons to my monthly box. I also received some gold color in mystery boxes a couple of times and the color Lynn among others. I’ve been a maven since January and bought most of the mystery boxes as well as my normal box, the only month I skipped was this months. I’ve seen quite a few dupes between both types of boxes.

My very first Julep purchase was the spring mystery box, and I hated everything in it (four meh polishes + greasy body scrub) and felt ripped off.
It is a testimony to their AMAZING marketing and customer service that since then I have become a Maven and placed something like 9 more orders (yay frequent promos and free shipping!). I am still waiting for two (!) Secret Store orders to arrive and looking forward to the warehouse sale, plus for the first time in my life I own more polishes than I have fingers and toes, so I cannot believe I am even considering purchasing another mystery box!
To answer your question, 🙂 Laguna is calling to me since I lived there briefly, but Hamptons may be more my style. Do you know how long mystery boxes are available?
I too am very curious to read your review of the DD cream.

I’ve recently signed up for Julep and have only gotten the intro box. I was excited to see these Mystery boxes. At first, I was going to get the Hampton one, but decided to get Laguna Beach instead.

As tempting as it is to buy 3, I am going to pass. I was really disappointed in the may mystery box and still annoyed they raised the prices by $5.. I’d rather spend my $75 on something else.

Should have mentioned that I just couldn’t pick one because I love mysteries. 🙂

I’ve been a Maven for about 8 months now, but this is my first Mystery Box because I have WAY too many bottles of nail polish already. But I couldn’t resist this one so I picked up the Hamptons Box. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s inside!

Do you know if you have to purchase this month’s box to be eligible for the mystery box??

Nope – everyone is eligible – even non-Maven subscribers! 🙂

Very tempting. I’m still so disappointed with the DD cream. I’m anxious to see your review.

Me, too! I got the lightest shade (which they claimed would work on fair skin tones, based on the pictures), and it looked like I had painted my face orange/black. Plus my TINY “concealer” was practically empty!! I’m so mad. What a waste of $20. I’m scared to get a mystery box ever again, because the one I did get had the exact same Rock Star hand creme I had gotten the month before in the regular box.

Oh man, I haven’t gotten the email yet but I love how you can pick the theme!! I’ve skipped the last couple mystery boxes but this is intriguing – I’ll probably go with Laguna Beach!
