New Subscription Box Alert! Olfactif: Fragrance Subscription Service

What do you think of Olfactif? Personally, I'm never too thrilled about the fragrance sample in other beauty subscription boxes when it is something I could easily pick up at a department store, but I checked out the perfumes they offer and I've never heard of any of them. This might be a great way to sample fragrances I normally wouldn't come across.

I looked through their perfumes, wanting to try the subscription. Found some priced at as little as $10. That’s $12 with shipping. I just bought one to try. I used the sidebar that asked for the notes I was looking for, I knew I would like something with a sandalwood scent. I also decided to do the monthly subscription, I had a code that’s giving me $3 off each month. $15 instead of $18

It sounds really nifty, but especially if the credits don’t stack up it sounds very expensive – even with $18 off the full size perfumes, they’re pretty pricey.

I would guess the credit would stack, dunno for sure. But the cheapest bottle of perfume they have is $75. This is interesting but far to pricey for my budget.

I am pretty sure, you cannot stack your credits.

I have been subscribing to Olfactif for 2 months (since the boxes began) and really like it. June will be the first month the company offers perfume samples in spray
form and I’m excited about it. The other vials were hard to open and the perfume poured out on my fingers (I didn’t want to waste it). I am still in search of “my signature” fragrance so until I do I will continue to subscribe.

I wonder if the fragrances are designer brands, or does the company make their own? While I want unique fragrances, I’m not interested in something that *no one* has ever heard of either 😉

This company doesn’t make any fragrances, it just sends you samples. These fragrances are “niche”, which means more expensive, high quality, exclusive and hard to find perfumes than any “designer brands”, it’s like haute couture of perfumes. If you’re after loud names, it’s not for you.

I actually subscribe to Olfactif and although the perfumes are not designer brand, they are nice. June will be the first month they offer the samples in spray form which I am excited about.

I wonder if you can stack the 18$ credits they send you each month. If that were the case then this would be worth it.
