We just started in November, and are LOVING carefree crafts. My DD is 2.5 years old and very artsy — me, not so much — but this has been so fun and easy. The shipping IS really fast, and they were super nice to even ask if we wanted to wait a month for December since we’d recently received the November box. We are so glad we said yes, We whipped through the November one and are having the best time with December’s. So glad we tried this and are sending it as gifts this month! (BTW I have no affiliation with them or anything, we’re just really having fun!)

I almost signed up for this crate, but did a little hunting and found that the crafts are from Oriental Trading company. Frankly, I’d rather spend my money on a kit that gives you a little more for the money.
I’m a subscriber to Carefree Crafts and my kids love getting their craft kits every month.
But you got me wondering, so I went to oriental trading’s website to see what the cost was. Looks like they only sell in quantites of 12. Assuming that all 5 crafts come from Oriental Trading (not sure about that), that would cost me $8-9 per craft set of 12 x 5 crafts + $10 shipping = about $53 total. I suppose after my kids finish their crafts I could sell the other 50 unused craft kits somewhere, but I really don’t have the time to do that each month — that’s why I subscribed in the first place — I have enough to worry about between nutrition, school functions, sports, doctor’s appointments, etc.
To me, the value of any subscription based service is the time savings. In this case, I save both time and money and my kids have fun to boot!
