Glossy Box - December 2012 Review - Women's Monthly Makeup Subscription Boxes

Pleats Please by Issey Miyake - .03 oz Value $.81

Verdict: I think the past Glossy Box values have spoiled me! This one is still great - approx $60, I just wish more of that value was from beauty products and not jewelry. It seems like Jewelmint is popping up everywhere in subscription boxes! What did you think of this month's box? Did you like your Jewelmint piece?

Weird, mine didn’t have any jewelry , good or bad and my products were totally different.

I prefer IPSY too so far. And I think I’m going to ditch glossy box for sample society

/your Glossybox looks much better.
In Canada for Dec 2012 we got a expired Avon lipgloss from 2005!
Revlon nail polish that was discontinued 5 years ago and 2 Aveeno face creams.

Just utter CRAP.

The Zoya gold polish is AMAZE. Its my new go-to “neutral” shade. I love your blog and I love Glossybox!

There’s a current GlossyBox giveaway contest going on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/events/197544077036763/

Love your site! I also loved the December box, which was identical to yours other than the jewelry. I received a beautiful Jewel Mint necklace. It has a long chain and really pretty, teeny perfume bottle as the charm. Glad I got that because I don’t tend to wear rings. Keep up the good blogging!

I received my first Glossy Box this December and I have to say I LOVED it. It was by far the best compared to Birchbox (really bad) and Glam Bag (very nice). I received a full size OC 8 (a mattifying product I already use and love $30), a 4oz Oscar Blandi pronto heat protectant spray, Pleats Please by Issey Miyake deluxe fragrance sample, 1.9 oz sample of Wella Velvet Amplifier styling primer, a full siize Modelco lip duo lipstick/lipgloss (gorgeous color), and a cute chunky silver bangle from Jewelmint. I am extremely happy, I hope this subscription continues to be great!

I haven’t received my Glossybox yet, looking at tracking info I should get it wen. or thurs. However, I like the idea of getting a piece of jewelry from Jewelmint, I just hope I get a piece I like! I love the ring you got. Last month was my first Glossy box and LOVED IT! I subscribe to about 15 or so… if you look at cost vs value I think my favorite is Ispy (My Glam) but I get pretty excited for them all…Really been loving beauty box 5 and The Look bag recently too…Very disappointed in BirchBox lately… Definitely hope they step their game up…Love reading your blog and looking at your awesome boxes too! Thanks!

I agree with you about Ipsy. While the actual value of other boxes might be greater, they often have at least one of two high value items (like the awful JewelMint belt I received from GlossyBox) that I’m not going to use. I think I’ve used just about every product I’ve received from Ipsy multiple times.

This was my first Glossy Box and I loved it!! I got a shower oil instead of the volumizer and I’ve already used it and love it. My jewelry was a silver bangle which is totally my style so I’m super excited to wear it. My nail polish is black with sparkle in it which is not only beautiful but also unique from all my other polishes. I will definitely continue this subscription!

No! I didn’t like my jewel mint bracelet- I gave it to a coworker. I like the lipstick and the polish. Meh on the bath salts and what I think is a body wash. Hair primer and fragrance are fine but they are traditional samples. Got this as a one time deal- not sure if I’ll renew.

I got a weird necklace thing. I didn’t like the JewelMint choices for this or the PopSugar boxes, but I did use my code from the previous PopSugar to get a cute scarf.

My box was almost identical, except my nail polish was silver. I received some hideous jewel mint earrings that were broken anyway. This was my first (and only for now) Glossy Box, it was okay, but I’d rather have more products than jewelry, it is a beauty box we are subscribing too.

Ps. I LOVE your blog, it is so much fun to read!

My JewelMint piece was a belt — at least I think it’s a belt. It’s a super heavy chain with a “lock” at one end. It’s not my style, so I’ll probably regift it.

I used my StyleMint code from the November PopSugar Must Have box to get a pair of JewelMint earrings, which I really like.
