With Burst, My Kid’s Teeth Are Finally Being Brushed Correctly

After a less than stellar dental visit last year, I've been trying to improve my daughter's brushing habits and overall oral health (no easy task... trust me). Previously, she had been using old, ineffective manual toothbrushes. And she wasn't a great brusher, either. So I decided to try a couple of different electric toothbrushes and finally found a winner with this BURST Oral Care Kids brush! Here’s why:

It works WAY better, like 26x better than other manual brushes.

The 31,000 sonic vibrations per minute are more than my feeble brain can fathom, but my toddler and I had a blast making a big deal about it. When the brush is in use, you can feel the vibrations while you're holding the soft silicone handle in your hand, and it rumbles the soft bristles so effectively that it vibrates the toothpaste right off the brush if you don't put that thing in your mouth right away. Little incidents like this made toothbrushing funny and exciting for a kid.

We were most recently using a manual toothbrush before our BURST brush arrived, we can now trust that her teeth are experiencing up to 26x better plaque reduction. That's a huge deal!

Plus, it's backed by thousands and thousands of dental professionals.

I finally took my daughter for her first visit to the dentist (a little late, oops), and this is the toothbrush my hygienist recommended. On top of knowing it was designed by dental professionals makes me feel confident in this brush's efficacy.

Small fingers enjoy the power button

We have tried other kids' electric toothbrushes in the past, and my daughter couldn't turn them on with all her might. It was really frustrating and deterred her from wanting to brush her teeth, then she reverted back to asking for her old manual toothbrush. That ended up being an expensive fail. She was thrilled to be able to operate the BURST toothbrush, navigating between its two vibration settings on her own with ease.

And, because the base has a nice, wide opening, she can take it in and out of the base herself as well. My husband and I let her brush her teeth herself to start, then we go in for a "grown-up round 2," but the more she can do herself—even something as simple as taking the brush in and out of the base—the more enticing the process is. I also love the silicone case the brush has which allows for such easy gripping (and less drops on the ground)!

It makes brushing fun and exciting for us

What's under the flaps? To backtrack a bit, BURST designed their box with great mystery around it. Just like with some of our favorite children's books, we couldn't wait to find out. Spoiler: under the flaps, you'll find the base, charger (both a charging base and a micro-USB to USB cord), the toothbrush itself (already charged!) and a fresh toothbrush head inside a protective packet.

Pair the fun-for-kids unboxing with the awesome experience of brushing with this toothbrush, and we've officially eliminated one of the biggest battles book-ending our day. Our child is seemingly always game to press the button, feel the vibrations, and feel the sweet glory of some independence.

The toothpaste is yummy and all-natural

Right when our box arrived, my daughter said, "And it came with bubblegum toothpaste!" She can't quite read yet, but the pink smiley and bubble design tipped her off. I was relieved to find that the toothpaste isn't filled with dye; it's not super pink in color. The flavor is also subtle, which is really pleasant and doesn't leave a sweet aftertaste.

There's a great warranty plan

Truth: more than one toothbrush has found its way into the toilet in this household. Do you really think I would drop $40 on a toothbrush for my kid without having a backup plan? The answer is no, and I feel at peace knowing that as long as I'm subscribed to receive replacement brush heads every 12 weeks (at a $7 cost), I can rely on BURST's lifetime guarantee - if anything ever goes wrong, BURST has me covered with a free replacement.

So, yeah, Burst is working great for us

My three-year-old has been going strong using her BURST toothbrush and I can't find any downsides. I, for one, can't wait until our next trip to the dentist so my daughter can show off her pearly whites and her healthier mouth! Stay tuned for results.
