I figured out why most bras are so uncomfortable: it's the underwire. That’s what we really don’t want to wear — the pokey, proddy piece of metal that makes bras feel constricting instead of comfortable. Last year I swore off underwire completely, and I’m not being dramatic when I say it’s changed my life.
I know what you’re thinking: Wait a minute, without underwire there would be no support! The bras are flimsy, and shapeless, and no good! Well, my friend, I’m going to let you in on my underwire-free secret that keeps me supported all day long: Honeylove Bras.
You might recognize Honeylove as a shapewear brand, but their best open secret is that they make the best bras on the market. And, spoiler: none of their bras have underwire.
Honeylove’s bras are different from other bras I’ve worn in the past because of their clever design. To compensate for the lack of underwire, they have a molded cup that fits like a glove and provide more support than underwire bras I’ve won in the past. They also are incredibly sexy and beautifully designed - take my favorite bra, the Crossover Bra. It has the support of a sports bra, while looking like a piece of lingerie. The mesh detailing in the front can be a chic peek-a-boo feature under low cut shirts, while providing lift. I kind you not, it looks like I got a freakin boob job!
The Crossover Bra is also my favorite because it’s the perfect T-shirt bra. Unlike lacey bras, where the texture shows through tight t-shirts, the Crossover is completely smooth under your T-shirt and the back band is designed to fit snugly against your back. You know that thing where your band is too tight and you have this weird muffin top of back skin that looks unflattering? That will never happen with the Crossover Bra.
The only downside about Honeylove’s Crossover Bra is that it sells out constantly because it’s so popular. So, if you go to the site and you find the Crossover Bra in your size, get it quick before it sells out again!
