What's the TL;DR on hair types?

There are three hair textures, each of which is used to rank how loose or tight your waves or curls are. For those, we use letters A, B, and C—with A being loose and C being more tightly wound.
Each hair type is a combination of the two above systems. So, for straight hair, you have type 1, and for wavy hair you have types 2a, 2b, and 2c.
