Wantable vs. Stitch Fix: The Battle of the Personal Styling Services

Have nothing to wear? If you're like me, you probably cleaned out your closet in 2020. Whether you sold items online, donated to a charity, or trashed worn pieces, maybe you're realizing your closet is bare.

Luckily, you've got options. So, if you need to replenish your wardrobe but you're not quite sure where to begin, Wantable or Stitch Fix will have your back.

If You Want a Stylist That Understands You... Wantable

After completing the quiz and my Wantable profile, I was taken through a list of items that matched my style quiz results. All I had to do was choose my size and request or decline an item! I had a hard time picking my favorites, because the stylist did such a good job matching my style!

Stitch Fix only gave me a few options to choose from when they asked which looks I loved or didn’t like. I kept giving the thumbs down to each outfit I disliked, but they kept coming back with a different variation of the same style.

If You Want More Items, More Time to Decide, and More Savings… Wantable

Both Wantable and Stitch Fix apply a $20 styling fee to your purchases, plus you get free shipping, returns, and exchanges. However, Wantable sends out 7 items per box, with 5 days to make a decision. You only need to purchase 5+ items to save 20%.

With Stitch Fix, you get 5 items to choose from, 3 days to decide, and the discount is only applied if you purchase all 5 of the pieces sent to you.

If You Want Designer Brands... Stitch Fix

Even though Wantable had better options for me, Stitch Fix has brands I know like Alice + Olivia, Kate Spade, and Calvin Klein, but they’re pricier. So, if you're looking to save money and get trendy options from up-and-coming designers, Wantable is your brand.

The Winner is... Wantable

Although this will ultimately depend on your own personal style, your budget, and how pressed you are for time, I chose Wantable as the winner because it's a little less expensive, the items are more fun, the styling process is easier, and they send you 7 items instead of 5.
