Editor's note: With the holidays around the corner, it's time for a wardrobe update. Unsure where to turn? We put Stitch Fix & Wantable to the test to see who should be dressing us all holiday season long.

Do you ever stare at your closet and think, "I've got nothing to wear", then dread leaving the house? If you're like me, nothing gets me more excited to tackle the day than putting on a fresh piece of clothing. Luckily, refreshing your wardrobe these days has never been easier - you don't even have to go to the store! If you're not quite sure where to begin, or what to buy, a personal styling service like Wantable or Stitch Fix will have your back.

If You Want Endless Options to Match Your Style Preferences... Wantable

Once I completed the quiz and profile on Wantable, I was presented a plethora of options that match my style preferences. The best part - all I had to do was choose my size and then request or deny an item... and they provided HUNDREDS of options! Stitch Fix, on the other hand, only provided a handful of options to choose from when they asked which looks I loved or didn't like. I kept giving the thumbs down to each outfit because I wanted something different, and every time they'd come back with a different variation of the same style. I disliked every look and after about 10 options, they confirmed my style. I took a deep breath and had to cross my fingers for the mystery box to come.

If You're Looking for the Best Bang for Your Buck... Wantable

While Wantable and Stitch Fix apply the $20 styling fee to your purchases—plus free shipping, returns, and exchanges—Wantable sends out 7 items per women's styled box. Plus, you only need to purchase 5 or more items to receive a 20% discount. Meanwhile, with Stitch Fix, you only get 5 items to choose from in your women's styled box, and the discount is only applied if you purchase all 5 of the pieces sent to you.

Wantable has a wide variety of options in a dizzying array of colors and styles that are perfect for fall and winter. I spent almost an hour scrolling through their fashion stream, checking out all the trendy and seasonal clothing available to me. I also found the website to be user-friendly, and a breeze to navigate. They've definitely got the shopper in mind! And while Stitch Fix also has lots of clothing, during the initial set-up of my style profile, I was only given a few options, and none of them suited me at all.

If You Want More Well-Known Designers... Stitch Fix

Even though Wantable had better options for me, Stitch Fix has brands I know and love like Alice + Olivia, Kate Spade, and Calvin Klein, but they come at a higher price point. So, if you're looking to save a little money and get more fun and trendy options created by up-and-coming designers, Wantable is your brand. If you'd prefer to rock well-known brands and you don't mind splurging a little bit, Stitch Fix is for you.

If You Need More Time to Decide… Wantable

In addition to Wantable giving you 7 pieces of clothing per women's box opposed to Stitch Fix's 5 per women's styled box, they also give you 5 days to make a decision. On the other hand, Stitch Fix only gives you 3 days to make a decision. I don't know about you, but my days can sometimes be jam-packed. The last thing I need is to accidentally miss the window and be charged for clothes that either 1) don't fit me or 2) don't match my style. I really don't like feeling rushed, so Wantable's extra 2 day buffer period just makes more sense to me.

The Winner is... Wantable

Although this will ultimately depend on your own personal style, your budget, and how pressed you are for time, I chose Wantable as the winner because it's a little less expensive, the items are more fun, the styling process is easier and more comprehensive, and I like that they automatically send you more items in your women's box.
