I hate doctor’s appointments. There, I said it.
Between the cold welcome from the ready-to-go receptionist, the “scheduled” appointments that always go over their time slot, and the patient rooms that feel as inviting as the ocean with a shark fin—it’s just not a good time for me. ❌
Last year, I saw a friend in Santa Monica talking about her latest visit to a Tia Clinic on TikTok, and I was immediately jealous and excited. The clinic looked and sounded exactly the opposite of every experience I’d ever had at the doctor, but the catch? L.A. is huge and I live nowhere near Santa Monica. 😭
So, yes, when I found out that Tia opened a Clinic in Culver City, I may or may not have done an Elaine from Seinfeld happy dance before booking the first available appointment.

I don’t care what anybody says: the doctor’s office doesn’t have to feel like and look like it usually does! Even when I arrive in a great mood, the sterile, procedural environment is incredibly off putting for me.
This is not the case with Tia at all. As soon as I walk into the Culver City Clinic, I feel at home, which is especially relevant knowing they offer early morning or evening appointment options, too. Who wants to start or end their day somewhere uncomfortable?
The warmth I feel from the intentional decor, to the kind employees, to the fact that this place is inclusive for all, makes me want to check and see if they’re serving brunch after my appointment—I’ll bring the mimosas. 💕
It’s everything I need in one convenient location
Arguably, the biggest reason why I am so ecstatic about the new Culver City Tia Clinic is that I won’t have to drive to four different places to get the healthcare support I need anymore.
With Tia, I can get comprehensive in-person and virtual care. All of my reproductive, mental, gynecological, internal health, and just overall wellness needs will be taken care of in one inclusive space.
It’s convenience meets peace of mind meets “I’m saving so much on gas!”
Healthcare shouldn’t break the bank
Too many times in the past, I have opted against going to the doctor because I was worried about the cost. I do have insurance, but billing practices are all over the place, and I always seem to get slapped with a surprise copay no matter what I do. This shouldn't be the case for me or for you.
A Tia membership is $150 annually or simply $15 per month. They have accessible and transparent price lists, and Tia accepts most major insurance plans, too.
Ease is a great word for healthcare
I like simple things. Even my doctor appointments. With Tia, booking appointments online is a seamless, fast process, and I can access my entire health profile whenever I need to. Many of my other doctors used patient portals, too, but their interfaces were clunky and outdated, and lots of my practitioners didn’t keep them up to date.
The cherry on top? I can utilize unlimited messaging with Tia’s Care team. Whenever I have even a small issue I want to discuss with my care provider, they’re only a short message away.
