With so many beauty tools on the market, it can be hard to choose which are the best and most effective. We all want to make the right decision and spend our money wisely.

In the spirit of competition, I tried out Solawave’s Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand with Red Light Therapy and the TheraFace Pro LED from Therabody. Both tools are designed to lift and define the face, which helps to smooth out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Read on to find out how these products compare:

For results that won’t break the bank… Solawave

Right out of the gate, it’s pretty difficult to ignore the huge cost difference between these two devices!

The Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand clocks in at $169, and the Renew Complex Activating Serum designed to use in conjunction with the wand can be bundled in a kit for $189 (if you really want to save, get 20% off when you sign up for texts, which brings the total just above $150).

The TheraFace Pro LED costs $299, so it’s a difference of about $100 between the two. If you’re on a budget, this really can’t be ignored.

For the most user-friendly experience… Solawave

One of the first things I look for in a beauty device is the ease of use. I want a tool that targets several of my skincare issues, is relaxing to use, is portable, and most importantly, works quickly.

The Radiant Renewal Wand ticks all the boxes - it has 4 technologies in one with no extra attachments, is easy to use, and travels well (it’s TSA friendly!).

The TheraFace Pro is also easy to use, but it takes longer to treat each area of the face and requires a different attachment depending on what concern you want to target.

For percussive massage… TheraFace Pro LED

The TheraFace Pro LED really shines with the percussive massage functionality, a technology meant to ease facial muscles and reduce tension. If this appeals to you, you’ll love this device.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t super comfortable for me to use, and I often felt like my head was being rattled when that feature was turned on. If you’re like me and prefer a milder massage experience, the Solawave might be a better choice since its facial massage feature is a low, gentle vibration.

For addressing the widest variety of skin concerns… Solawave

The Radiant Renewal Wand is a skincare workhorse. Just turn it on and it helps smooth those fine lines and wrinkles, reduces the appearance of blemishes, fades dark marks (hyperpigmentation), and decreases puffiness. I consider it to be a one-and-done device.

The TheraFace Pro LED device isn't quite the multitasker unless you purchase additional attachments, adding onto the already steep cost.

For those who love to travel… Tie

I like to use my beauty tools at home, but I like to be able to take them along when I travel too. Both devices come with a storage and carrying case making them both portable.

The Radiant Renewal Wand is extremely lightweight and folds into its protective shell travel case which is nice and compact. The TheraFace Pro comes with a small storage bag. However, it has multiple pieces/components and weighs a lot more. They're still both easy to travel with, and can be taken on the go, so everyone’s a winner here.

Final verdict… Solawave

I enjoyed using and comparing these two devices, but the Solawave is the definite winner for me. It's easier and more comfortable to use, and I could see changes in the appearance of my skin from the very first week using it.
