The No B.S. Men’s Multivitamin is Here – Find Out How I Got Key Essential Nutrients for $1/Day

Ritual is a subscription that provides a 30-day supply of multivitamins catered to specific life stages. The Essential for Men multivitamins include 10 nutrients in a delayed-release capsule. Plus they are vegan friendly and free of gluten and other major allergens. Ritual is unique in that it does not throw in every vitamin it can but instead focuses on key nutrients most people don't get enough of from their diets, regularly.

In addition, the capsules are designed to dissolve later in the small intestine, an ideal place to absorb nutrients. I do not regularly take vitamins, but do find the capsules easy to swallow and never made me feel queasy. The pills are a neat beadlet-in-oil design and they have a nice minty taste to boot.

Who is Ritual for?

Ritual was founded "with the belief that better health begins with better ingredients." They offer Essential for Women with 18+, 50+, and prenatal options, as well as Essential for Men with 18+ and 50+ options. I fall into the 18+ category. However, I am closer to 50 than 18. My diet – or lack thereof – often has me feeling like I am not getting certain nutrients my body needs.

As Ritual itself says, "Ten Nutrients. No B.S." They pride themselves on providing a stripped-down multivitamin without common ingredients like calcium, vitamin C, and copper, which people typically can get enough of from the diet anyway. Ritual's tablets cover "common nutritional gaps," according to their website. Each tailored set of pills comes with a pamphlet that shows you the ingredients and from where they are sourced. Nutrients for men 18+ are:

  • Boron
  • Folate
  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Omega-3 DHA
  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin B12
  • Vitamin D3
  • Vitamin E
  • Vitamin K2

Benefits of Ritual Multivitamins

If you're anything like me, once things fall onto an "I'll get to it later" list, they tend to stay there a while. For about $1 a day, these well-crafted multivitamins will show up at your doorstep without you having to remember to restock. Replace the new bottle with the old one and it's easy for these vitamins to become your daily routine.

For my review, I purposely took my daily dose at all different times of day, on an empty stomach and a full stomach, and every combination of food/drink/time I could think of and it never made me queasy.

My First Ritual Delivery

The multivitamin mailers are made of 100% repurposed newsprint and plant fibers. So good on Ritual for doing away with the pomp and circumstance for the sake of the planet. I don't need special packaging to feel good about my vitamins.

I was immediately struck by the beadlet-in-oil pills. I personally had never seen pills like that. I was so eager to take the first dose that I did so before I remembered I needed to photograph them first. I keep the bottle next to my wallet and keys and never forget to take my daily allotment.

Value Comparison

A quick internet search or a trip to the supermarket will show you there are many multivitamins out there and many of them cost less for the same or more amount of doses. If you're looking for bang for your buck and you're not picky, I suggest grabbing something on your next grocery trip. But if you are looking for a thoughtfully crafted, "No B.S." multivitamin delivered to your door for about $1 a day, Ritual has my vote.

So, What’s the Verdict?

While a little on the pricey side in terms of multivitamins, Ritual For Men is a solid product with a conscious heart. Its stripped-down nutrients are tailored to specific life stages. Its science-backed supplements and traceable ingredients make it ideal for skeptical pill-takers. And its packaging is recyclable. While not for everyone's budget, I suggest Ritual for anyone looking for "No B.S." in terms of ingredients, unnecessary packaging, and having to worry about restocking. I could see this subscription becoming part of my daily ... ritual.
