This Is the Jewelry Brand That Meghan Markle Wore Before She Became a Duchess

Long before she was a Duchess, Meghan Markle was a classic influencer—sure, she was an actress but you could tell she had taste. (All chronicled on her blog, of course! RIP, The Tig and her Instagram account.) One jewelry brand she’s been wearing since her pre-Duchess days is Aurate.

The piece that first drew my eye to Aurate was an elegant and simple necklace. Meghan was seen wearing the Collar Necklace all the way back in 2015, and it stood out to me for its bold yet minimal look. When you take the time to dig into what Aurate is about, it’s a no-brainer that Meghan would be into the brand.

Classy, values-forward jewelry fit for a modern-day Duchess

Aurate is a jewelry brand that is disrupting the way jewelry is bought and perceived. In short, they are about empowering women to “have it all” when it comes to life and to gold. With transparent and super fair pricing, ethical practices, and chic & effortless styles, Aurate’s jewelry might as well be the embodiment of what Meghan Markle is all about. (Pictured above from L to R: Collar Necklace & Geometric Square Ring).

Empowerment through unique and stunning designs are at the center of Aurate (beloved by celebrities like Eva Chen, Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, and Kerry Washington, the latter being an investor–just to name a few!). It’s a 21st-century brand for a 21st-century icon like Meghan, who chooses her clothing and accessories based on both looks and ethical practices.

Aurate is royally sustainable, ethical, & high-quality

While the look of Aurate is what first snagged me, it’s the brand’s love for sustainability that inspired me to get a necklace of my own. By using recycled gold (aka gold that has never been mined), ethically sourced diamonds, and sustainably harvested pearls, Aurate changes the way the jewelry industry operates and they feel very authentic about it.

Because they sell online-only and direct to women, they are also priced at HALF (!) of what you’d pay for a legacy jewelry brand (Tiffany, Cartier, you get the gist).

And this is for the same or better quality, same craftsmen, etc. It’s kind of a no-brainer. To top it off, there’s also a lifetime warranty on Aurate pieces, so I feel like the brand stands by its quality of the pieces it puts out in the world, whether it be a delicate piece of everyday jewelry or an engagement ring.

When you add in the quality of the pieces, transparent and fair pricing, and transparency around sourcing, it’s easy to see why Meghan Markle is such a fan of Aurate. It’s also born and designed in New York City, which I love.

I’m channeling my inner Meghan & wearing Aurate

Aurate combines the best of both worlds: beautifully crafted jewelry with a real story and ethos you can feel good about. I love that it was easy to purchase online, there were tons of options, and they fit my lifestyle and personal style.

While this jewelry won’t make me a Duchess, I certainly feel like one when I’m wearing Aurate. I’m glad Meghan Markle made me aware of such a thoughtful and stylish brand that has now become my go-to jewelry destination (as well as my mom’s and friends’ - sharing is caring!).

And I have amazing news - Aurate gave me an exclusive code because I love the brand so much, and I'm sharing it with you all. Use code FANFAV30 for 30% off it all, no minimum spend (legit better than anything they'd have on their site!).
