SuperHair vs. Nutrafol Core for Women: Which Supplement is My Summer Hair Hero?

Summer is here and, if you know anything about me, you know I am all about feeling and looking my best, inside and out! And one of the most noticeable benchmarks for beauty and wellness? Your hair

I have to be honest that, while I have a pretty good hair care routine, I realized that it paled in comparison to everything I was doing for my skin: namely taking a supplement specifically designed to make my hair thicker, fuller, and more luscious.

Thankfully, a few of my friends turned me onto two supplements that do just that: Nutrafol Core for Women and SuperHair by Moon Juice. While both supplements claim to offer solid benefits for your hair health, one of them definitely won me over…

If you’re looking for the quickest results… SuperHair

I saw huge improvements in the thickness, strength, and overall appearance of my hair after just 4 weeks of taking SuperHair. With highly bioavailable, traceable, and 3rd party-tested ingredients clinically studied to improve hair health, I’m not surprised. In fact, Moon Juice is so confident in SuperHair that they offer a 45-day money-back guarantee!

To be fair, I also saw results with Nutrafol—it just felt like it took a lot longer. The dosage is the same as SuperHair (4 capsules per day), but Nutrafol quotes about 3-6 months of consistent use to see improvements in hair volume and thickness.

Who likes waiting around? No one.

If you’re looking for more than just hair health… SuperHair

While healthier-looking hair was my #1 priority while testing these supplements, there’s also something to be said for taking a supplement that also benefits your whole body. I don’t want to have to take a fistful of supplements with my breakfast, after all.

That’s why I appreciated that SuperHair by Moon Juice contains an all-natural, vegan blend of vitamins, adaptogens, botanicals, and micronutrients designed to support your whole body health while addressing the nutritional deficiencies that inhibit healthy hair growth.

Nutrafol—by contrast—is truly hair-specific, meaning I’d have to take extra vitamins to get the same effects as SuperHair.

If you’re looking for the most transparency in ingredients… SuperHair

While Nutrafol offers a blend of nutrients and botanicals to help support hair health, they aren’t very transparent about it. In fact, their formula is listed as a “proprietary blend” so there’s no knowing exactly how much of each ingredient is in the product (or where it came from).

SuperHair’s ingredients, on the other hand, are 100% traceable and sustainably sourced, and I really appreciate that the individual doses of each ingredient is listed right on their website.

Because of better transparency, I can see how the SuperHair formula promotes healthier, thicker hair with ingredients like Ashwagandha (to reduce stress and balance hormones), botanicals like Saw Palmetto (to promote thickness and healthy follicles), and micronutrients like Horsetail, Biotin, and Kelp to strengthen my hair.

If you’re looking for the most environmentally friendly brand: take your pick!

I love that SuperHair is a vegan formula, whereas Nutrafol contains marine collagen which isn’t technically vegan.

That being said, both Moon Juice and Nutrafol ship their products in recyclable containers and prioritize eco-conscious, sustainable manufacturing processes.

I definitely prefer SuperHair’s reusable glass jar, but because both brands are doing a lot to prioritize the planet, I have to give them both points here!

If you’d like to save some coin… SuperHair

Now, on to dollars and cents!

When it comes to affordability, the proof is totally in the price here: Moon Juice Superhair is $60/month (or $54/month with a subscription) while Nutrafol costs $88/month (or $79 with a subscription).

Nutrafol might justify the extra cost to cover their in-house “naturopathic consults,” but I’m not even sure what that means, tbh… so pretty hard to justify that price hike.

Overall winner: Moon Juice SuperHair

Surprise surprise!

SuperHair by Moon Juice totally wowed me with their top-notch vegan, environmentally friendly, and 3rd party tested formula. I’m absolutely in love with how it’s helped my hair look thicker, fuller, shinier, and overall healthier since incorporating SuperHair into my routine.

If you’re looking for a convenient and powerful way to support your hair’s health (and even save some money every month over other options—and remember, you can save 10% off when you subscribe), then I recommend you give SuperHair a try ASAP!
