Stryx vs. Disco: I Looked At Both to Find Out a Winner

This pretty face doesn’t stay this perfect by itself–it takes hard work! However, even my perfect skin isn’t worth fighting with my wife over after emptying her super-fancy serum. As a smart man, a comedian, and a dad, I knew I had to find my own skincare products. Throughout my research, I looked at different options and came down to a match: Stryx vs. Disco. Keep reading to find out what I liked about each and the winner I chose.

The way they talk about skincare for men…Stryx

I’ve never paid much attention to skincare–it always felt like it wasn’t for me. Uniquely, Stryx takes a straightforward approach by making cosmetics designed for better skin, which really got my attention. It was refreshing to witness a cosmetics company talking about how skin care isn’t about having perfect skin all the time, but about knowing that you’re taking care of it every day.

Disco aims to tackle common problems like dark circles, dryness, and acne, and describes itself as a place where men can receive everything they need for skincare in one place, which is an important message. Nonetheless, I appreciate the way Stryx emphasizes the importance of men feeling comfortable in their own skin.

The quality and product performance…Stryx

If I was going to use something on my face every day, you can bet I looked up the ingredients. While I might not know the details about each one or what they’re supposed to help with, I can definitely educate myself on the quality. Stryx formulas are 100% cruelty-free and formulated not to clog pores, and I was super excited to see their cosmetics are meant to stay on through sweat and water. As a stage performer, this is a big deal to me.

Likewise, Disco touts its products as being sustainable, cruelty-free, all-natural, vegan, and Made in the USA, making me feel confident about what I’m putting on my face.

The ease of buying…Disco

Stryx and Disco are both pretty easy to get, and you can sign up for a subscription to get your products door-delivered. To me, that’s much better than me wandering into some store and experiencing decision fatigue. I do have to give points to Disco for having a skincare quiz to help you figure out your skin’s priorities.

However, I consider myself a simple man–the less, the better. With Stryx, the skincare routine is literally a 1-2-3 step process, and I can easily get behind that! Disco has other products like face masks and serums that I won’t have the time to factor into my simple routine.

The extras…Stryx

Disco and Stryx both have one product I wish existed when I was a teenager: the pimple stickers! Where have these things been all my life? All jokes aside, I was surprised to see Stryx features products like a concealer, a tinted moisturizer, and even an anti-shine tool. I’m always either performing onstage somewhere or recovering from a rough night of sleep (thanks, kids), but still wanting to look my best in my photos, so Stryx products are exactly what I need.

Trust me, never in a million years did I think I would be wearing concealer, but here I am! I like how the concealer tool looks like a pen, so that I can carry it without hesitation. Stryx’s concealer really makes me look as if I had the world’s best night’s sleep!

After thinking about it, my choice is…Stryx!

In the end, Stryx has much more than skincare: Stryx also ensures that you feel confident in, which is an empowering feeling that I really enjoy. I know that I’m finally taking care of this gorgeous skin with products designed especially for my low-maintenance lifestyle in mind! Today, I don’t go anywhere without my Stryx concealer and anti-shine tool, and you’ll definitely find me tucked in bed sporting my beloved pimple patches.
