As a seasoned skincare aficionado, I will admit that few things excite me more than the promise of a sleek new device.

And I have mature skin, so any product description that includes the words “firm,” “smooth,” or “glowing” is a product I’m eager to get my hands on!

I’ve been reading up about the benefits of both red light therapy and microcurrent devices recently, but never having experienced the magic myself, I decided to take the plunge and put two popular skincare handhelds to the test: the Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand by Solawave, a red light therapy wand, and the NuFACE FIX, a microcurrent device.

Individual results may vary.

If you want a tool that helps fade dark marks, smooth fine lines, reduce puffiness, & improve your complexion... Solawave

Upon ordering both products, what stuck out most to me about Solawave was that they have 4 in 1 technology. While typically I regard technology like this to be a bit of a gimmick (sure it can do one well, but all four? felt unlikely), I was pleasantly SHOCKED when it actually WORKED...

Don't get me wrong, the NuFACE FIX did what it said it would... it did blur the look of my wrinkles and plump my lips a bit. BUT, that's ALL it did. Solawave, on the other hand, came through with all FOUR of their promises.

  • Therapeutic Warmth -> Dark Circles? Lookin' brightened.
  • Red Light Therapy --> Fine Lines? Appearin' smoothed.
  • Facial Massage -> Puffiness? Never heard of her.
  • Galvanic Current -> Complexion? Improved.

If you want the cheapest possible option... NuFACE FIX

The NuFACE FIX is available as a Starter Kit, and costs $159. The kit includes the NuFACE FIX Device and the NuFACE FIX Serum, a must have for microcurrent conduction.

Since everything is included, it’s the slightly cheaper option of the two. Conversely, the Radiant Renewal Skincare Wand with Red Light Therapy is priced at $169, and the Skin Therapy Activating Serum designed to use in conjunction with the wand can be bundled in a kit for $189.

Personally, I'd rather pay $30 more for a device that does four things, rather than just one. Maybe that's just me, but I call that #economical ... a bang for your buck one might say 👀

If you want a three minute routine... it's a tie!

Both the Solawave & NuFACE FIX only require three minutes of your time per day! I love that they are portable, as well.

I'm also a gal who's really into her skincare. The ability to utilize both of these whenever I have a spare moment is HUGE to me. That said, knowing my Solawave gives me three more benefits than my NuFACE FIX plays a big role in what I'm carrying around in my purse all day long.

If you want a product that's won the Women's Health Beauty Awards for the last 3 years... Solawave

While Solawave has over 3,100 reviews with 4.7 star average, NuFACE FIX has only a 3.8 star average from sub 500 reviews.

Solawave was also written up in a handful of magazines with glowing (see what I did there) reviews! Vogue, Rolling Stone, The Every Girl, InStyle, People, among others rave about the Solawave wand.

If you want a skincare tool fit for a celebrity... Solawave

The way I see it - if Solawave is entrusted to get A-listers such as Reese Witherspoon, Megan Fox, Sydney Sweeney, and Nicole Kidman ready for the red carpet, it's good enough for me!

Or, to be more accurate, the team of aestheticians and dermatologists at their disposal are likely privy to some of the most effective treatments on the market.

Desire to enjoy the secret skincare routine of Hollywood's elite? Solawave is our VIP ticket.

Solawave Is The Easy Winner!

Real talk: I’m terrible at sticking to routines. But I can’t stop using my Solawave Radiant Skincare Wand. All it took was a few minutes a day over 2-3 weeks to transform my complexion from dull to glowing, and I can’t see myself going back.

As an added bonus, I’ve even noticed a difference in how products I’ve used for years are working…my salicylic acid is finally noticeably reducing acne overnight, and my Drunk Elephant moisturizer isn’t caking the outer layer of my skin anymore.

Everyone has different skin, so while it seems to work for the overwhelming majority of their customers (and all those beauty editors that selected it for awards), they let you return it if you don’t love your results.

And we love a brand that stands behind their products.
