Though I exercise regularly, I recently started to feel I wasn't making any progress in my training. I was doing all of the same routines, but I knew I needed a change to reach my goals for the year.
To start off, I knew I needed to find a program that offered personalized guidance and the flexibility to work with my day job as an engineer and my hobbies. I decided to try two major fitness companies that just might be what I needed: Peloton and Future Fitness. I invested in Peloton’s stationary bike and Future’s personal, remote training membership.
It wasn’t affordable to keep paying for both - so I compared the two to see which one was the right “fit” (hah).
Let’s take a look!
If you’re looking for a personalized, human experience…Future
With Future’s personal, remote training membership, I was matched to my perfect trainer with a quick quiz, had a quick video call with them to chat about my goals, and they designed a 100% custom-made fitness routine for me.
We covered everything from my lifestyle, my available equipment, and my goals. Even through the app, my coach feels like my biggest fan supporting me on this journey with daily check-ins and chats.

In comparison, the Peloton classes never felt very personalized or customizable for me. I felt like a number on a screen, and the classes were very impersonal and generic.
For making such a personal and interactive experience, Future takes this round.
If you’re a hardcore cyclist…Peloton
I’ll give it to Peloton - they sure know how to build a (stationary) bike.
Many of their workouts and live classes are catered to fitness and performance, using the bike as a primary tool. So for my dedicated cyclists out there, there’s no better home training tool. They do have other classes, but they’re a bit too generalized for me.
Future’s training plans are great, and cycling is absolutely part of the available plans. But if cycling was my primary exercise, Peloton would be the choice here.
If you like variety and tracking with your workouts…Future
Future’s personal training program has a variety of different workouts, activities, and data-tracking options. My coach and I worked out what I love to do and what was needed for my fitness goals, and designed a plan around my lifestyle that is always changing and evolving to meet my goals.
Future does this by meticulously tracking all of my workouts and personal progress in the app - and my coach adjusts things as needed. It’s SO cool to look back and see how much progress I’ve made since starting this program.
For providing a fun, varied, and data-driven workout experience - Future!
If you need flexibility… Future

Future as a virtual personal training service is easily the most flexible option because it is anytime, anywhere. Your trainer will work with you and your schedule to build a weekly personalized workout plan for you. You don’t need to buy or find any complicated, expensive equipment to get your workout in for the day.
With Peloton, you’re already hampered by the need to purchase the bike with a hefty price tag and pay a monthly fee for the app on top of that. Many of their workouts involve the bike, which limits you in terms of when and where you can exercise.
So, if you want flexible, no-strings-attached workouts, Future is the easy winner here.
And the winner is…Future
Peloton builds a great bike, but it doesn’t stack up to the incredible value that Future’s personalized, remote training membership has given me.
My coach from Future is in my corner to help me reach my fitness goals. I look forward to our daily check-ins and pushing myself through the workouts, knowing that my coach has done all the planning - I just have to follow through.
Future is 50% off for the first month, costing just $100 to get started on the path to a new physique. There’s also a risk-free 30-day trial, so if it’s not working out there’s no pressure.
If you want to push your workouts to the next level, give Future a shot. You can thank me later.
