Permanent and Pain-Free Hair Removal at Home – Is This Device For Real?

Here’s what they don’t tell you about growing up–you have to shave…everything…constantly. It seems like every other day I have to bust out my razor and it is just one more step in an already-lengthy personal maintenance process. Now, I understand that I don’t have to shave. There are women who choose not to, I’m just not one of them. I like showing off my legs and arms and I prefer it when those areas are smooth.

What I want is to have to shave less and still have smooth skin. Is that too much to ask? (You don’t have to answer that–I know it is). Turns out there is a way to make it happen, though, and it doesn’t cost my entire month’s salary and I can do it myself at home. Enter the laser hair removal device from NOOD.

I was skeptical at first

I have to admit, I was super skeptical about how well I’d be able to do this myself. People pay thousands of dollars for laser hair removal, and just the word “laser” had me thinking this is something I should probably leave to professionals. The Nood Flasher 2.0 (a funny wordplay for a name, I think. Hats off to their creative team!) isn’t necessarily cheap. The device costs $209 and it is not easy for me to part ways with that kind of money on something I’m not sure about, but it comes with a 90-day money-back guarantee. The brand says that you should see results within 6-8 weeks, so that gives me plenty of time to give it a real shot and, if I’m not happy, return it and get my money back.

The Process

The device itself is easy to use. You just plug it in, turn it on, and press it against the skin of the area you want to treat. I treated my legs so I started at my ankle and I put the Flasher on Auto Mode, so all I had to do was hold it in one spot until the light flashes (you can’t miss it—it looks like a camera flash). Then I worked my way up to my knee and repeated the process all around my leg.

The instructions say to use it at an intensity of 6 or 7 (7 is the highest) but I left it at an intensity of 2 the first time I did it. I wanted to make sure there was no bad reaction since my skin can be super sensitive. This is also why I decided to treat my legs first because that skin is much tougher. After a few days with no bad reaction, I did the next treatment on a level 7 and I’m happy to report that everything's still fine!

The Results

Let me tell you how little I know about laser hair removal–I was expecting the hair to start melting off. That’s not how it works, though. The reason you need 6-8 weeks to see results is that the treatment destroys the hair follicles to stop the hair from growing permanently. I already feel my hair growing back less thick and find myself shaving every 3-4 days rather than every 2. Now that I know it’s safe for my skin and it doesn’t hurt, I know if I keep up the consistency I will be enjoying smooth hairless legs before long.

Should you try it for yourself?

If you’re a skeptic like me, even this post won’t convince you that this device is the real deal, so yes. Yes, you should try it for yourself. It doesn’t hurt, it’s easy to use, and if you don’t like it, you can take advantage of the money-back guarantee. You have nothing to lose, but that hair you don’t want anyways.
