New Year, New Hair: I’m Finally Going To Have My “Hot Guy Summer”

I never thought of myself as “hot” as a young man. And a big part of the reason was that I inherited thinning hair from my dad (and his dad before him). For years, I ignored it and wore more baseball caps than was probably acceptable. With the new year coming up, I decided it was time to man up and upgrade my looks and style. That’s where Keeps comes in: new year, new hair, right?

Keeps isn’t the kind of thing I’m used to trying. It’s a subscription service that provides hair loss treatments for guys like me, who are experiencing hair loss. I’m not the kind of man who tries everything that pops up on social media, so I was a little skeptical at first. But here’s why Keeps is my #1 chance at a “hot guy summer” in the new year:

Keeps Provides Expert Help and Contains FDA-Approved Products

First of all, Keeps is legit. It’s hard to know which companies to trust these days, but the first thing Keeps does is to set you up with a real, licensed hair loss specialist to talk about your hair. That made me feel better right off the bat. I could start my new hair journey by talking with an actual physician who could answer my questions and explain what to do.

The first televisit with a licensed physician is free, and the hair specialist works with you to create a treatment plan that’s just right for your personal head of hair. Want to switch things up or add new products to the mix? Additional consultations are only five bucks.

Keeps also uses the only two that the FDA have approved: minoxidil and finasteride. FDA approval means that there’s been a ton of research and testing, and these products have been found safe and effective. What do the products do? Minoxidil promotes crown hair growth and slows down loss of hair, while Finasteride boosts growing hair and slows “receding hairline creep.”

Keeps is offering a new topical Finasteride and Minoxidil Gel, as well as proven players like a 1mg oral Finasteride pill, topical Minoxidil foam & solution treatments, plus a  thickening shampoo, conditioner, and pomade to keep you looking your best along the way. Even more, Keeps has a 2% Ketoconazole shampoo for irritated scalps. Still unsure? Take the quiz to figure out exactly what you need.

Keeps is Affordable

Have you looked at meat prices lately? Prices keep going up, and one of my resolutions is to be smarter about how I’m spending money. Keeps’ prices start at about $10 a month; for less than what I’d pay for a good steak, I can give myself a shot at the kind of hair I thought I’d never see again. A fair trade, I think.

I can also do my treatments at home. That means I’m not spending a lot of money on more expensive (and scarier sounding!) procedures like scalp reduction or hair-grafting.

I Can See a Difference

There’s no magic spell for hair, right? It does take time to grow. With Keeps, however, most users see results in four to six months. So if you start Keeps treatments right at the start of the new year, you could have an entirely different head of hair by the time summer hits.

Since I’ve been using Keeps personally, I look at myself more in the mirror and I can already see a bit of new growth. I think I look a little younger, too. I guess my mom is right in saying “you look better without hiding your face under a baseball cap,” because I don’t look half bad these days. Am I going to have my first “hot guy summer”? Thanks to Keeps, I think I just might.
