I Tried the Farm-Fresh Flower Subscription That Caught My Eye On TikTok – And Now I Have Some Thoughts

While I definitely view buzzy internet products with a lens of skepticism, I’ll admit that I’m not immune to their allure. So when I saw BloomsyBox pop up on TikTok, I was intrigued. I love having fresh flowers around the house – bringing a little bit of nature inside never fails to put a smile on my face. Especially when it’s as colorful and aromatic as fresh flowers are!

Normally, I stick to grocery store florals, because I like being able to customize arrangements at a low price point. The problem is, they don’t last very long. Could investing in a pricier (but not too pricey) bouquet be the solution? Let me say that BloomsyBox is my new favorite way of ensuring I always have gorgeous, long-lasting bouquets around, and here’s why.

What sets BloomsyBox apart?

One of the things that piqued my interest about BloomsyBox is that their flowers are sustainably grown and incredibly fresh. They’re Rainforest Alliance certified, and packaged in a way that doesn’t feel too wasteful. They also arrive 2-5 days after they’re cut. That means that when you open up your BloomsyBox, many of the flowers will not have bloomed yet. They’ll still look elegant, but you’ll get to enjoy watching them blossom, which is honestly kind of magical. And best of all, since they arrive at such an early stage, they should have a longer lifespan than your grocery store variety!

With subscriptions starting at $44.99, I’ve found that BloomsyBox is a really great price point for the gorgeous flowers you receive. You have the flexibility to choose different delivery cadences such as Monthly, Weekly, or Bi-Weekly, and the Monthly subscription option gives you the choice between Original, Deluxe, or Premium deliveries. Want something even more special? You can snag a New York Botanical Garden-inspired monthly delivery, a Roses, Plants, or Eucalyptus subscription, or even a Pet-Safe monthly variety, which is 100% non-toxic.

My experience

The first thing I noticed when I opened up my BloomsyBox was how fresh the flowers looked. A lot of the time when I get flowers delivered I have to toss a few that arrive looking sad and shriveled (or at least pluck a few withered petals off the roses). That wasn’t the case here. Everything looked just as it should, and any delicate blooms were well-protected. One thing to note with this subscription is that you don’t get to select your bouquet (you can, however, buy specific bouquets outside of the subscription). But being surprised can be really fun! The bouquet I received was filled with seasonally appropriate red and white flowers. It’s perfect for Christmas, and I’m so excited to display it over the winter holidays!

Closing thoughts

BloomsyBox is a great option for anyone who wants to liven up their space. They offer dozens of beautifully designed bouquets ranging in style from whimsical to luxurious. If you opt for a subscription, you can decide how many stems you’d like, as well as the delivery frequency (yay, customization!). In addition to freshly cut flowers, they also offer live plants and dried arrangements, so there’s truly something for everyone. They’re also a great option for gifting (even the subscriptions can be gifted, which I think is pretty cool). I love that they’re Rainforest Alliance certified and sourced from eco-friendly and fair trade farms. And their freshness was, well, refreshing to say the least. Basically, if you’re looking to up your flower game, BloomsyBox is an excellent way to do it.
