I Tried Solawave’s New Neck & Chest Rejuvenating Mask—Here’s How it Went

I’m a total product junkie, but even I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Solawave's latest offering—a Neck & Chest Rejuvenating Mask. Sure, I’ve been loving their Wrinkle & Bacteria Clearing Light Therapy Mask.... but, the thought of shelling out $300 for another LED contraption, this time for my neck and chest, left me skeptical.

I started noticing my neck and chest showing wrinkles and signs of aging far before I developed my first forehead line, so I totally understand the appeal here. After all, people often neglect this area of their body that’s exposed to the sun daily.

Despite my reservations and the mask's odd appearance – it looks like an adult bib – my curiosity got the better of me. My face might receive all the pampering it needs, but I've been grossly neglecting my neck and chest. So I bit the bullet and got one. Let me tell you about it!

What is Red Light and Near-Infrared Light?

Red light therapy is a treatment that uses specific wavelengths of red light to penetrate the skin. It's a method that skincare buffs and celebrities alike swear by, including Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian who both use red light therapy beds for their skin.

This scientifically-backed (and NASA discovered) therapy stimulates collagen production, improves skin elasticity, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles—all without surgery or downtime.

Then there's Near-Infrared Light, which goes even deeper than red light, reaching the subdermal layers of your skin. Together, these two forms of light therapy work in tandem to not only address the visible signs of aging but also boost overall radiance to the neck and chest!

The Solawave Difference

Sure, we all know the drill—slather on sunscreen every day (or maybe even throw on this Sun Smock from Lauren Curtis). But let's be real, who hasn't forgotten to reapply after a few hours or skipped the sunscreen on a cloudy day? And what about our neck and chest? It seems like those areas are always neglected until it's too late.

That’s why Solawave really caught my eye. It’s not a preventative measure; it’s practically a cure for those inevitable slip-ups. Think of it as your skincare safety net, ready to rescue your skin when your sunscreen routine falls short.

Before I settled on Solawave, I looked into alternatives like Omnilux ($395) and CurrentBody ($339). Yet, neither seemed as user-friendly or as well-reviewed as the Solawave mask. What really sealed the deal for me, though, was how it promised ease of use with its strap design, not to mention Solawave’s mask at $299 was the most affordable. Spend less and have more comfort? That’s a win-win in my book!

The Stats

  • Simple to use and stays secure with straps
  • Lays across your neck and chest comfortably
  • Both Red and Near-Infrared light are combined for maximum effectiveness
  • Simply press the on button and relax for 10 minutes for maximum results
  • Reduces appearance of wrinkles in as little as 4 weeks
  • Costs $299 (or $239 when you join their email + SMS list)

The Play-by-Play

Using this mask quickly became my new favorite ritual. I simply wrap it around my neck, adjust for comfort, secure it, and press the on button. Each session lasts just 10 minutes, and ideally, I do this three times a week.

The best part? I wasn’t tethered to one spot. Whether tidying up, meditating, or just enjoying a quiet moment with a cup of tea, the mask added a relaxing element to my routine, seamlessly fitting into my day without having to pause my life.

The Results

After a month of consistent use, I’m amazed. My skin feels smoother, looks brighter, and even the wrinkles that had started to make themselves at home seem less noticeable. Previously, my neck and chest had a dull, slightly patchy appearance, likely from years of sun exposure and neglect. But now, they have a healthy glow that I haven’t seen in years. The difference is real, and I’m here for it.

Is the Neck and Chest Mask Worth it?

In a word, yes. This experience has been a wake-up call to the importance of taking care of every part of my skin, not just my face. For anyone on the fence about trying Solawave’s Neck & Chest Rejuvenating Mask, I say go for it. It’s a decision your skin will thank you for.
