I Finally Ditched My Cotton Sheets for Bamboo – Here’s Why I Won’t Ever Go Back

I’ve long struggled to get good sleep. I’m too hot, I’m too cold, and I’m tossing and turning, and eventually I give up and stare at the ceiling for an hour. You know the feeling. 😪

Honestly, I never considered that my regular cotton sheets could be the problem, and trust me, I’ve tried them all (looking at you, Brooklinen and Boll & Branch)—nothing has helped.

My friend claimed that she only started sleeping well once she bought ettitude’s bamboo sheets. So, I did what all sleep-deprived girls would do and purchased their Signature CleanBamboo® Sateen Sheet Set. I’m now making it a personal mission to convince you to ditch your cotton sheets for bamboo:

1. ettitude’s bamboo sheets claim to help you get 43 extra hours of sleep per year, and I can confirm: they are SHOCKINGLY comfortable

According to ettitude, their bamboo sheets are scientifically proven to improve sleep quality; i.e. fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, and wake up refreshed. How, you ask? Their bamboo lyocell is thermoregulating, moisture-wicking, and so luxuriously soft in a way that cotton normally isn’t.

In a study conducted by SleepSpace, they found that almost 94% of people preferred ettitude sheets to leading cotton sheets. Their study discovered that ettitude sheets helped them get around 7.2 more minutes of sleep per night, equaling 43 extra hours per year!

After sleeping on them myself, I’m waking up rested and completely cool (vs. drowning in sweat). Who doesn’t want to get more restful sleep without even trying?

2. ettitude’s sheets are free from harmful chemicals and help you reduce your carbon footprint

I mentioned above that ettitude uses zero chemicals, but that’s just the start of it. I recently read that cotton is often grown with a substantial amount of pesticides and fertilizers, and can also contain formaldehyde, a carcinogen (which may be linked to headaches, sore throat, and skin irritation).

On the other hand, ettitude’s patented CleanBamboo production process skips harmful chemicals in favor of gentle, organic solvents. The result? Bedding that is dermatologist-approved and safe for babies.

Now, ettitude’s CleanBamboo isn’t the only bamboo bedding out there - I was initially enticed by other brands containing bamboo viscose, like Cozy Earth. Then I read that the organic solvent used to process bamboo viscose can dissolve a human body in 3 hours. No thanks. 🙅

In comparison to cotton, CleanBamboo also saves 99% of wastewater. Talk about helping Mother Nature.

3. ettitude is much cheaper than other luxury sheets, without sacrificing quality

While ettitude may be an investment over the cotton sheets you bought from Amazon, the investment is worth it for clearer skin and restful sleep. Plus, when you sink into these sheets with hot tea and a book post-shower, the upgrade will be SO worth it.

The Signature CleanBamboo® Sateen Sheet Set starts at $169 for 1 fitted sheet, 1 top sheet (no, we have not done away with those, they serve a purpose), and 1 pillowcase. Pillowcase count increases to 2 for Queen ($229) and up. And they’re machine washable and don’t pill!

What's even better is that ettitude has an MSA-exclusive discount code to help you save! You can get $60 off orders of $220 or more with the code MSA60.

Luxury cotton brands I know like Boll & Branch and Brooklinen can cost upwards of $279+. While this isn’t a bad price, I haven’t found any as affordable as ettitude.

4. ettitude has a color option to match any bedroom

Let’s just say your bedroom suited you at one point, but you’re a new person now and you’re fantasizing about an upgrade. Manifestation is possible with ettitude sheets, given that they come in 12 different colors.

There are very current neutrals, there are just-right pops of color, there are classic cloud-like tones. I would gladly own one of each.

Bye, cotton, and hello ettitude

I’m willing to put my pride aside and say I was wrong for all the years I had committed to cotton sheets. Had I known about the luxurious softness, the thermoregulating capabilities, and the science-backed sleep improvements of bamboo sheets, I would’ve jumped ship sooner.

TL;DR: Hop on the ettitude train as soon as you can, and save $60 by using the code MSA60!
