How WeightWatchers Is Helping Me Stick to My New Year’s Resolutions

I think many of us know the following tune all too well: I’d like to lose a few pounds, and New Year’s is the perfect time to do so. But as time goes by, sticking to that resolution falls by the wayside.

I know in the past I’ve failed at keeping my New Year’s resolutions because I didn’t have a solid plan in place. Thinking, “I’d like to lose weight” is one thing, having an actionable plan in place to do so is completely different. That’s where WeightWatchers comes in.

I’m excited to delve into this upcoming year with WeightWatchers by my side! I’m feeling much better about reaching my health goals and WW is already helping me stay on track. Here’s how:

Easy to use and accessible from anywhere

What I like best about WeightWatchers is that it’s very user-friendly and supportive. All I had to do was download the app to my phone; the program is easily accessible wherever I go.

You may know WW through their Points system of tracking your food intake, but the program is so much more than that. First, though, for those completely unfamiliar with the program, you are allotted a set number of “Points” to use throughout the day. For example, spaghetti with meatballs is worth seven points. My personalized program allows me 23 Points per day.

Enjoy a wide variety of ZeroPoint foods

There are more than 200 ZeroPoint foods, meaning you can have as many per day as you want! I know what you might be thinking – so just fruits and veggies, right? While there are plenty of those (broccoli, escarole, onions, kiwi, mango…), there are also lots of proteins, including eggs, skinless chicken breast, and deli turkey breast. If you’re like me and you like to snack, plain air-popped popcorn is also a ZPF! You can access the entire list of ZPFs right from the WeightWatchers app.

I truly believe there are no “good” or “bad” foods, and the WeightWatchers program echoes this philosophy by working with me and my lifestyle to create a balanced meal plan. The app also has tons of recipes in categories like “family-friendly meals” and “easy meals for one” for when you need a little mealtime inspiration.

Learn about nutrition and find support

One of my favorite aspects of WeightWatchers is that they also provide food education. They give me the tools needed to make smart decisions while still being able to enjoy the foods I want. It’s great to feel empowered to make healthier choices while still having a cookie or two during the holidays.

The app also gives you community support at your fingertips. Being able to share my journey with others who are also using the program is key, as we can help cheer each other on and offer words of wisdom during challenges. I love being able to talk to real people who are also looking to lose weight and feel their best.

Starting the New Year off right

There’s a reason why WeightWatchers has been around for 60 years. They’ve gained credibility through their workshops, traditions, and teaching people how to eat while still enjoying life! I’ve found their program to be sustainable because it’s flexible and I can design it around my lifestyle.

I’m so thankful for the WeightWatchers app and program and am motivated for success!
