How This Ready-Made Meal Plan Made Losing Weight Less Complicated

I’m about 6 months postpartum, and losing that baby weight is a grind. Cooking, measuring, tracking, and eating healthy meals is a challenge in its own right. Add in two picky toddlers and a mac and cheese-loving husband, and it feels completely out of reach.

My weight has plateaued after this third and final pregnancy. I need to kick things into high gear to lose the rest of the baby weight. That’s why I was so excited to try Trifecta.

Cooking two dinners ain’t it

My family is not interested in meals for weight loss, and I don’t blame them! But I also don’t want to cook two dinners to get back to my ideal weight. I’ve tried this before by making spaghetti for the family and zoodles for myself, but the extra work was not sustainable for me.

I also don’t want to tell my family they’re on their own until I get back down to my goal weight. With Trifecta, I don’t have to think about anything, and I have no guilt. All of that planning, prepping, and cooking is done for me and sent to my doorstep. All I have to do is heat the food, and my macro-balanced meal is ready to eat.

Meals for weight loss never tasted so surprisingly good

I’ll be honest, I was a little skeptical of how the Trifecta meals would taste.

I kind of expected the meals to taste bland as they’re low-calorie and pre-cooked.

However, I was surprised at how good these meals were. I truly enjoyed them all, and they were just as good microwaved as they were baked, which saved me a lot of time. I also liked that I could add hot sauce to most of the meals because, yes – I’m that person who puts hot sauce on everything.

None of these meals tasted like diet food to me. My favorite was the Kung Pao Chicken! I had to triple-check the nutrition information on it because I swear it tasted just like takeout, if not better. The sauce was addictively tangy, and even the rice was seasoned well with the perfect fluffy texture.

Flexible meal plans

A big bonus of Trifecta compared to some of the competition is you can select a meal plan that fits your needs. There are clean, vegan, vegetarian, paleo, Whole30, and even keto options.

Being on a specific diet can make losing weight even harder, so it’s nice that if you’re doing keto or are vegan, you can try a ready-made meal plan that’s macro-balanced, too.

And if you don’t want the food completely ready to go, you can try the meal prep plan. Choose your protein, veggies, and carbs. Then, you can assemble these meals at home for a fraction of the price.

More than just meals

Another great thing about Trifecta is you can sign-up for free nutrition coaching when you start your subscription. Your Nutrition Coach can help provide you with the best plan based on your fitness and nutrition goals as well as any dietary restrictions you may have.

Trifecta also offers an app that is an invaluable resource for tracking your meals and workouts, as well as connecting with the Trifecta community. I was never great at keeping a food diary, and the Trifecta app just does it for me. Seeing the meals I’ve had and what’s coming up really motivates me to stay on track.

Weight loss, simplified

Overall, the Trifecta meals made eating healthy simple and accessible. I actually felt more motivated to eat well knowing these meals were completely ready to go, just sitting in my fridge.

Finding the motivation to eat well is super hard for me (I have a big sweet tooth), but the convenience of ready-made dinners makes it easy to stay on track. I’ve just started, and already I’m feeling more energetic and lighter.

Being able to heat them up in less than 3 minutes made these a slam dunk for me. I’m excited to try more meal options soon!
