How My Youngest Learned To Ride a Bike in ONE Day!

This kids bike is Safe ✅ Easy ✅ Quick ✅

We all remember when we first learned to ride a bike...and for me learning how to ride didn’t exactly come naturally. I grew up in a hilly area, and I was really nervous about flipping over the handlebars after my brother hurt himself doing just that.

These anxieties amplified when it came time for me to teach my oldest how to ride. I ended up waiting way too long to teach him and went in completely unprepared. Once my youngest started expressing interest, I knew I had to find a better, safer way that calmed her (and my own) anxieties.

When I came across Guardian Bikes, I knew right away I’d found the best choice for my daughter. And if you can believe it, I got her riding that bike in just one day.

Here’s why Guardian made all the difference:

A Safety-First Approach

Guardian Bikes are designed to make riding easy for your kids while keeping them safe. Their bikes are super lightweight with a wide wheelbase and smaller hand grips.

Their SureStop® brake system is really what sold me. It gives kids more control with faster stopping in shorter distances, eliminating the risk of flipping over the handlebars.

Guardian’s RideSizer® tool allowed me to see the perfect size bike and how soon they might grow out of it. So once you get your little one riding, you can feel confident that they are cruising on the safest bike out there.

Easy As 1, 2, 3!

No training wheels needed here! Guardian Bikes has devoted an entire section of their website outlining their 3 step process on getting your little one riding-ready in one day.

The best part is that their bikes function as a balance bike first, so you can get them gliding before adding the pedals. My daughter was already a balance bike pro, so this transition was practically seamless.

She was definitely nervous about trading up to a “big kid bike” at first, but once she started coasting around on her new Guardian Bike, her confidence really skyrocketed. After some quick balancing practice, she had her feet on the pedals in no time. And once she started pumping her feet, that was it—I had a (slightly wobbly) bike rider on my hands!

A Breeze For Parents To Build

When the kid’s bikes got delivered the boxes seemed really big, and I could tell what my husband was thinking. “How long is this thing going to take me to build?”

Then we opened the box and saw that it was basically fully put together! Guardian Bikes arrived professionally pre-assembled, so all we had to do was add the handlebars and pedals (with help from a quick Guardian video, of course). It took us less than 10 minutes!

No More Clunky Bikes

I think the biggest surprise for me was how light Guardian Bikes really are. When I first picked up my daughter’s bike, I was shocked by how easy it was to lift.

Both of my kids are able to take their bikes out on their own, walk them back up the hill if they need to, and the kickstand actually works without falling over from the weight of the bike.

From One Bike to Two

We were so happy with my daughter’s bike and riding success that we bought one for our son, too! He’s almost eight and already knows how to ride, but his new Guardian was a major upgrade. Our big kid loves how smooth and easy to ride it is, and he no longer has to worry about fiddling around with his old coaster brake.

If you are looking for THE bike for your child—the one that puts safety and kid-first design in the driver’s seat—don’t waste another second: ride on over to Guardian!
