As someone who wishes she could stay in her pajamas all day, every day, I’m always on the hunt for next level comfort and style in my daily wardrobe. So, naturally, Fabletics’ new Cloud Jersey line caught my eye, reminding me of Vuori’s DreamKnit collection, a long-standing favorite for homebodies like me who value soft, breathable, and comfy athleisurewear.
Both collections are made from lightweight, moisture-wicking recycled fabric that boast four-way stretch, so they are extremely comfortable to wear all day. In fact, I would happily wear either collection to bed.
But which one is going to be my MVP to see me through office days, impromptu yoga sessions, and those never-ending errand runs? Here’s how Fabletics’ Cloud Jersey and Vuori’s DreamKnit compares:
If You’re Looking for Versatility … Fabletics
Fabletics’ Cloud Jersey line has a bit of some structure to the pieces so that I can get away with wearing it to the office, especially paired with something a little bit more formal. They’re also a little more secure so they could actually double as activewear if you’re so inclined.
In contrast, I find that most of the items from Vuori’s DreamKnit line are great for loungewear but I wouldn’t dream (ha pun intended) of wearing it to work. I also find the fabric pretty thin which is not appropriate for all settings. In fact, between the bagginess and the thin fabric, the joggers aren’t really great as activewear pieces either because I would be afraid that my pants are going to fall down if I try to go for a serious run.
If Size Inclusivity Is Important … Fabletics
For me, it means a lot when a brand understands that we come in all shapes and sizes. Vuori is making strides towards inclusivity, yet there’s room for improvement in ensuring everyone finds their fit. Fabletics, on the other hand, nails it by offering a wide size range from XXS to 4X, so anyone at any size can feel comfortable and stylish.
I also really appreciate Fabletics’ “Change the Model” feature on on their website that allows you to see how clothes look on a various body types. This thoughtful approach not only helps in making better purchasing decisions but also celebrates body positivity by showcasing fashion for every body.
If You're After More Colors… Vuori
Maybe it’s because Fabletics’ Cloud Jersey range is new but they only offer this super comfortable and breathable fabric in four colors (black, navy, grey, and dark moss). Meanwhile, Vuori’s DreamKnit collection comes in a lot more color options from greys to lilacs and blue.
Personally, I’m actually quite a fan of Fabletics’ curated color palette. And if you’re looking for more color, textures, prints, Fabletics’ other collections have you covered.
If You Want The Most Bang for Your Buck … Fabletics
Most of Fabletics’ Cloud Jersey collection comes in at a lower price point than a comparable item from Vuori’s DreamKnit collection. For example, the Cloud Jersey Jogger is $59.95 while the Performance Jogger is $94. Overall Winner … Fabletics
While there is a time and place for Vuori, I much prefer the Cloud Jersey collection from Fabletics overall. It’s super comfortable to wear all day (and night!) yet versatile enough for different settings and activities. Plus, Fabletics offers great value considering the significantly lower prices compared to Vuori and with the Fabletics VIP Membership, you get even more favorable pricing.
