Curology Reviews

About Curology

Curology (starting at $19.95/month) is a personalized prescription skincare product. Take a survey to indicate your skin type, top concerns (like acne, dark spots, wrinkles, and more) and your medical history, and a licensed provider will create a “superbottle” formula specifically for you.

You can either subscribe to a 3-Step set including cleanser, your superbottle, and moisturizer ($59.90 every two months with free shipping), or opt to receive only the superbottle formula in a one-month supply ($19.95 plus shipping) or two-month supply ($39.90 with free shipping). Their free trial lasts 30 days, so you can see if the formula works for you before you commit.

Our Review

What We Love

  • Curology connects you with a licensed provider, who stays with you for as long as you stay subscribed. You can contact your provider with questions at any time during your subscription.

  • Your formula is customized for your specific needs, such as acne, clogged pores, dark spots, firmness, skin texture, and wrinkles. Formulations are also customized for target area and skin type.

  • The free trial includes a 30-day supply, which allows you to see if you’re getting positive results before you continue with your subscription.

You Should Know

  • Curology’s formulas are prescription skin care products. If you already see a dermatologist to treat certain conditions like acne, you may already be using a similar formula.

  • Curology does not treat acne patients under the age of 13. Patients between the ages of 13 and 18 require parental consent and contact information.

  • Curology is currently licensed in 36 US states; here’s the full list.

I'd Recommend Curology If

  • You’re interested in trying prescription skincare, but are unable to visit a dermatologist in person or prefer the convenience of talking to a provider online.

    Curology FAQ

      How much does Curology cost?

    • There are several plans available, depending on exactly what you need and if you want to pay monthly or bimonthly:

      • - 1 month supply for $19.95 per month, plus shipping
      • - 2 month supply for $39.90 every two months, with free shipping
      • - 3-Step set (cleanser, superbottle, and moisturizer) for $59.90 every two months, with free shipping

The free trial has enough for 30 days and only costs $4.95 for shipping. Sign up here!

      Is Curology worth it?

    • It depends! If you’re interested in trying a prescription skincare product like Curology to treat specific skin concerns, we think it’s most worthwhile for people who aren’t already seeing a dermatologist (or who want the convenience of working with a provider online, without making office visits).

Insurance does not cover Curology. Depending on your insurance plan and individual coverage, it may be cheaper for you than visiting a medical provider in-office.

Their 30 day free trial is a great, zero-commitment way to see if the product is right for you– but it should be noted that Curology recommends sticking with the program for at least 90 days before you judge results.

Can you cancel Curology at any time?

    • Curology does allow subscribers to easily cancel online. However: Curology recommends you stick with their product for at least 90 days, and consult with your Curology provider if you’re not happy with your results. They may tweak your formula or recommend you stick with it, since some medications can take months to start showing visible results.

What if I run out before my subscription renews?

    • You can order a refill anytime you need it; Curology will invoice and ship a refill to you on request instead of waiting for the next renewal date.
