As a busy mom, the one big thing I look forward to at the end of the day is sinking into a bed full of sumptuous, pillowy, & straight-up soft bedding. Mom life isn’t easy!

Recently, the two most buzzworthy brands circulating around my friend circle are Buffy and Parachute. Both companies boast things I love: they have natural fibers, soft fabrics, and super stylish designs.

So which bedding is actually worth your money? I put both of them to the test, and here's what I discovered!

If you're looking for the softest fabrics...Buffy

Buffy comforters and sheets use cloud-like fibers that are incredibly light and airy. The fabric is super soft and surprisingly durable, and you’ll be kept warm, but it’s not heavy at all. It's perfect for people like me who want a cozy, snuggly feel but tend to sleep warm. The fabric is made from 100% TENCEL lyocell fibers, which are naturally wrinkle-resistant, breathable, and hypoallergenic.

What's TENCEL, you might be wondering? They're fibers that come from sustainable wood sources like eucalyptus that are incredibly soft (almost like silk). Plus, I love that there are no oils or synthetic dyes, so I don't worry when my kids climb into bed to snuggle! Buffy’s super generous 100 day return policy and 7-night free trial means you’ll have ample time to see if it’s living up to your standards.

Parachute’s Organic Cotton Puff Comforter is filled with GRS certified polyester. It’s fluffy and soft, but the TENCEL lyocell fibers in Buffy’s Breeze Comforter seem to absorb more moisture than Parachute’s cotton, and overall, the Buffy comforter feels lighter & softer to me.

If you're looking for temperature regulation… Buffy

I get hot quickly when I sleep, so the thermoregulating features of Buffy’s Breeze Sheet Set stuck out to me. The TENCEL™ Eucalyptus lyocell fibers are breathable but also totally cozy in the winter. When I tried these sheets, I didn’t wake up once feeling too hot or cold–it was amazing! Buffy’s Cloud Pillow also absorbs moisture, leaving my skin feeling smooth & dry–paired with the sheet set, it was a dream to sleep on, too.

On the other hand, Parachute’s Percale Fitted Sheets and Pillowcase Set felt wonderfully soft as they’re both made from 100% premium Egyptian cotton, but to me, they didn’t seem quite as moisture-wicking as Buffy’s sheets.

If you care about colors...it's a tie

Both Parachute and Buffy have a wide variety of beautiful color options for their sheets, comforters, and pillows, so this one is a tie! From muted neutral hues to beautiful blues, you’ll find the perfect shades to match your bedroom. Even better, Buffy has free shipping + Parachute has free carbon neutral shipping + returns.

If you're looking for a more eco-friendly option...Buffy

Buffy is dedicated to reducing their environmental impact, so they use natural fibers that require less water and fewer chemicals to produce than traditional fabrics. This also means that products like the Breeze Sheet Set are fully biodegradable & compostable! Buffy uses eco-friendly packaging materials with zero plastic, too.

I really like that Parachute is Certified Climate Neutral, but what really moves the needle for me is the fact that Buffy’s Eucalyptus lyocell fibers use up to 76% less water to produce than conventional cotton.

If you care about price...Buffy

A King Parachute Organic Cotton Puff Comforter runs about $249-269 while Buffy’s Cloud Comforter costs $211 for a King, so price is an easy win for Buffy. Buffy also often runs sales to bring that price down even lower!

The Verdict

After testing both brands, I'm giving the clear-cut winner to Buffy. Buffy’s bedding is not only comfortable, but it's also environmentally friendly and budget-friendly. Plus, they have a wide selection of colors, so you can find just the right one for your bedroom. So if you're looking for a new comforter, pillows, or sheets (or all of the above) then Buffy is the way to go.
