Better Not Younger vs. Rodan + Fields: Which Lash Serum Is Worth Your While?

I never thought my lashes would fall victim to “age” yet here we are. They are thinner and shorter and I’m constantly on the lookout for products that will make them stronger, longer, and fuller without having to get lash extensions which are expensive and potentially damaging to the lash and eye area.

After a lot of research, I decided to try lash serums because healing and strengthening the hair follicles and the lashes seemed like the best option! I narrowed it down to two top picks, Better Not Younger’s Superpower Lash Enhancing Serum and the Rodan + Fields Lash Boost Eyelash Serum. Find out which one won my heart!

If you’re after quick results…Better Not Younger

Better Not Younger is a clear winner! Their lash serum is clinically proven to show results in 4 weeks versus the Rodan + Fields study which says that clients can expect to see results in about 8 weeks. I definitely saw a change in my lashes after 4 weeks of using Better Not Younger’s Superpower Lash Enhancing Serum. The R+F did provide results, but not nearly as quickly as Better Not Younger.

If you care about clean ingredients…Better Not Younger

As a clean beauty advocate, I like products that are “free” of all the things - parabens, sulfate, cruelty - vegan and hypoallergenic products are icing on my list of product must-haves. Better Not Younger checks all the boxes for my criteria. This serum is packed with rich ingredients such as pumpkin seed extract, panthenol, biotin, hyaluronic acid, and peptide complex, and nourishes lashes to help revive and strengthen follicles to support healthier-looking lashes. The first ingredient on the R+F list is “Lash Boost Technology” and then a list of things that mostly resemble chemicals.

If you want a wider product selection…Rodan + Fields

If you are looking for other skin care products to pair with your lash serum, Better Not Younger falls short in this category vs R+F. Better Not Younger has a full selection of haircare products for mature women, but they don’t have anything related to skincare in their line. R+F offers a full range of skincare products that clients can choose from to create a regimen that works for them.

If you’re looking for the more affordable option…Better Not Younger

There is no comparison here. Better Not Younger’s Superpower Lash Enhancing Serum is $55 for a 7ml tube and R+F is $155 retail for a 5ml tube. R+F does have a preferred subscription program that drops the price to $139 - but even with the discount (after you join their preferred customer program for $19.95) the Better Not Younger lash serum is larger and less expensive!

My clear winner is….Better Not Younger

Better Not Younger gets my vote based on ingredients, pricing, and efficiency! I love that it’s clean beauty, reasonably priced and that my lashes were healthy, strong, and fuller in just four weeks. Better Not Younger fits right in with the rest of my routine and I’m loving my new longer lashes!
