Tried both Basic and Premium. The Basic is very good and often only slightly different than the Premium so you have to ask yourself if the extra cost is worth it to you. The reviews on YT are usually for the Premium, so it's hard to gauge before you try it. I have been very happy with most of the boxes; there was one in 2019 that was just terrible and everyone complained (a few cheapish graphite pencils and ballpoint pens.) But the rest of the boxes have been quite fun. Often you get a lot of supplies, nine items or a full set of pencils or pens. Compared to Artsnacks, I think it's a far better value. I've had a lot of fun trying new things. The stickers have changed from a full length Sketchbox logo to tiny little sketches of the supplies and if you want to know what to do with them, put them in a notebook with a list of the supplies that month or I put them outside my art tabouret drawers. You can subscribe for short periods like 3 months or buy one at a time...the boxes do sell out so you can become frustrated if you try to catch them on the fly.

I have always had a great experience with SketchBox. They respond to my emails quickly and I tend to have a lot of questions! I got this as a gift for a friend and they have loved every box.

Love this box!! I've had so much fun trying out new supplies. One of my pens arrived dry because the cap came off in transit but customer service was super helpful and sent a replacement lightning fast. Always high-quality products. Definitely recommend.

Horrible Horrible Customer Service. I’ve been with Sketchbox for quite a few months for the most part it’s been decent. Recently I ordered a past box because I wanted some of the items in it as well as two $15 grab bags for surprise gifts. Shipping was pretty fast as always but they left out one of the grab bags. When I picked the package up from my post office and realized that a grab bag was missing I immediately contacted them within 5 minutes. First I received a message from Mike saying Tori would contact me shortly 3 days later Tori did. Tori asked that I send a photo of what was included in the shipment, well because I have collected so many of the boxes I took the items out of the past Sketchbox and put them away. I sent that photo on 11/17 and have yet to get a response. So needless to say afte the December Sketchbox they have lost a customer for good.

This is my third box the first two I loved awesome products. This month they left out 3 key items I was charged for and buyer beware there is no customer service number to contact it’s 31.00 with tax and shipping and your stuck trusting that one person packing a large box will rennet to pack 7 small items

I didn't realize that my subscription auto-renews (no reminder email) so I signed up for a new 3 month subscription. Immediately after, I saw that I had two active subscriptions. I canceled one of them right away and gave the reason "duplicate subscription" from the drop down. They charged me for both subscriptions and won't refund me in full. I'm contesting this with my credit card company and won't be doing business with sketchbox in the future.

I have to say how disappointed l am with Sketchbox. Like some other artists, l felt there wasn't enough value for the price. I signed up for a 3 month Premium membership, and when l cancelled my subscription, they sent me another box and charged me another $115 for a 3 month subscription!!! I was very upset about this, and the unhelpful Customer Service was pretty much: 'Too bad. You cancelled 3 days too late according to our policy. You have to purchase the box we sent you (which hasn't arrived yet) and you can't return it. We'll refund you for 2 boxes only.' Buyer be VERY aware: Once sketchbox has your credit card details they don't want to lose your business and will make you jump through hoops to return any money. For a box with mediocre art supplies in it, it's not worth the hassle!

Excellent curation, good service. Unfortunately had to unsubscribe, just too expensive with shipping to Australia.
