MUD\WTR Overview

About the Brand

MUD\WTR is a coffee alternative subscription, offering you an organic blend of ingredients including masala chai, cacao and adaptogenic mushrooms for potential health benefits beyond what coffee alone would offer, while still helping you maintain your morning ritual and energy. With 1/7th the caffeine as a cup of coffee, you get focus, energy and immunity without the jitters, crash and dependency.
The full ingredient list and benefit claims include Lion’s mane for focus, chaga and reishi to support a healthy immune system, cordyceps to promote natural energy, turmeric and cinnamon for their antioxidants, and cacao for mood and energy. It's 100% organic with zero sneaky sweeteners added.

To prepare MUD\WTR, you simply add a tablespoon serving to your mug, pour in hot water, and mix thoroughly to your liking. Drink it by itself or add more flavors to it, however you prefer.

What Else You Should Know About MUD\WTR

First and foremost, MUD\WTR may replace coffee, but it does not taste like coffee. It is a spicier, earthier, sweeter drink based on tea and superfoods, and you mix the ingredients directly into the water so overall it does not replace the bitter smoothness of filtered coffee. That said, the purpose of the drink is to replace your coffee habit with a different, healthier habit - not to actually BE coffee.

As for the health claims MUD\WTR makes, while there is some research suggesting that the ingredients such as adaptogenic mushrooms may help reduce fatigue, or research that reishi might have immune system and fatigue benefits, overall the claims are still bold and more direct studies would be needed to confirm that as a morning daily drink for an average person the benefits will hold.

Is MUD\WTR Worth It?

If caffeine gives you a hard time, you love the ritual of a warm cup in the morning, you are open to trying new health foods, and the higher price isn’t a problem, then MUD\WTR is a great alternative that is definitely worth trying.

If you love the flavor of coffee, don’t have any problems with caffeine, or are looking for the most affordable option, then this might not be for you.

How MUD\WTR Compares to Other Top Coffee and Tea Subscriptions

MUD\WTR vs Atlas Coffee: As a coffee replacement, one of the top options instead would be a classic coffee subscription. Atlas offers you a variety of flavors from around the world and for the same 30 cups each month you would pay $14 instead of $40. You could opt for 60 cups a month for $28, too, so if you prefer drinking multiple cups in the morning and caffeine isn’t a problem, then Atlas is more affordable.

MUD\WTR vs Trade Coffee: Trade Coffee offers a higher end coffee experience, to match you with craft roasters all across the US to bring their coffee to your home wherever you live. They expect 30 cups of coffee to take two 12 oz bags, which cost at least $15 each, bringing a month total to $30 compared to a month of MUD\WTR at $40. If you only drink one cup of high-end coffee per day, you will still pay a little more to switch to MUD\WTR.

MUD\WTR vs Sips By: If you don’t want to drink coffee, plain tea could be an alternative too. Sips By is a tea subscription that sends you about 16 cups of tea for $16, so you would have to order two boxes to cover a month, totaling $32 compared to $40. MUD\WTR is based on masala chai but has many more health benefit claims from all of the other ingredients, so the extra cost could be worth it.
