I started with Armoire and Nuuly - two of the more popular brands - to see which clothing rental service is best!

A few years ago, I read an article claiming that the average adult makes about 35,000 decisions per day. For me personally, it felt like 99% of them revolved around what to wear. Both Nuuly and Armoire offer seemingly endless options, which is great! However, Armoire definitely stands out here because their algorithm will recommend the perfect selections based on your personal style and needs. You can also request that one of their personal stylists pick out pieces for you! It really saves time and effort by helping me avoid endless virtual window shopping.

You can also keep your current rentals until your new ones arrive which is a major advantage the service offers over Nuuly. One of my favorite perks of Armoire is that they handle all of the cleaning, so no need to stress about doing extra laundry.

Armoire offers 3 different plans so you can pick what makes the most sense for your wallet. Here’s a quick overview:
- The most economical plan: rent 4 items each month for $89.
- The best value plan: rent 7 items for $119 per month, but you can get the first month for just $99 to give it a try!
- If you want to go all in: their Unlimited Plan allows you to rent 6 items at a time with unlimited shipments per month and costs $249 per month
Nuuly only offers one plan with 6-items per case at $98 per month.
If You’re a Woman Who Needs a Closet for All Occasions… It’s a tie!
I truly can’t pick between Armoire and Nuuly when we’re talking about variety. Both services offer pieces for everything including work, athleisure, casual wear, and dresses for all occasions. Never again will you say “I’ve got nothing to wear” when you’ve got thousands of options to choose from with brands you’ll recognize and love.
If You Want to Ensure the Best User Experience… Armoire
Both Nuuly and Armoire ask you to complete a style quiz upon joining the services, but to me, it seemed like Armoire really goes the extra mile to get to know your style, your sizing details, the brands you love, and the occasions you’re looking to rent pieces for. It only takes 5 minutes, and I felt it was really spot on with the selections it suggested afterward.
And the winner is… Armoire!
Both services are great, but the value, user experience, and extra services like access to a personal stylist push Armoire into the lead in my opinion. It has been a pleasure to gain access to my new virtual closet, and I’m so excited to continue utilizing them in the future for all the times it feels like I’ve got “nothing” to wear.
