A Globetrotter’s Unofficial Guide To Packing For Life On-The-Go

Whether I’m enjoying a staycation in the Bay Area or jetting off to NYC for a weekend trip, I’m always on-the-go. With so many miles under my belt, I’ve learned a thing or two about packing efficiently, so I can have more room in my luggage for awesome snacks or coffee beans that I find on my travels!

So, how do you pack when you’re always in motion? It starts with ensuring your toiletries aren’t taking up too much carry-on space! After years of traveling with bulky electric toothbrushes and chargers, I found quip’s sleek, travel-friendly oral hygiene products. Here are 4 travel hacks for packing smart, no matter the destination (spoiler alert: quip is the common thread!).

1. Skip bulky products

First thing’s first: you can’t weigh yourself down. Not only do bulky items make your luggage heavy (a nightmare when you’re running to catch a flight), but they also take up tons of space.

One quick and easy switch I made was swapping out my old rechargeable toothbrush for quip’s Smart Electric Toothbrush. Despite the fact that it’s electric (it even connects to an app on my phone), it has a super sleek and slim design and a simple, flat, and magnetic cord for recharging. No bulky charging base required.

I also downsized with quip’s Refresh Bag, which holds all my toiletries in a durable shell that can collapse for easier packing. It even has handy storage loops to hold my toothbrush, paste, and other essentials in place.

2. Opt for cordless, rechargeable items

I don’t want to be glued to a wall waiting for my items to recharge. I used to keep a water flosser on my counter, but it was so massive, there was no way to pack it with me for trips. So I swapped it for this cordless Water Flosser, which I can charge at home. It even holds the charge for up to 2 months–perfect for my globetrotting lifestyle!

Like my toothbrush, it includes a flat charging cable that’s easy to pack for longer trips. And if you’re really off the grid, quip has a Solar Battery Charger so you can power your electric brush without any plug-ins.

3. Go hands-free

From the subway to the airport, public spaces get a lot of traffic, and that means a lot of germs. While I keep hand sanitizer in my trusty Refresh Bag, I still don’t love the idea of grabbing a mint or a stick of gum with my bare hands while I’m on a bus or plane.

This customizable Gum Starter Kit is a little luxury I never knew I needed, and now I’m passing the knowledge to you. This stylish container stores 10 pieces of gum, and the kit includes over 90 pieces of gum. I can quickly refresh my breath with the sugar-free gum, and the best part is that the dispenser is hands-free!

4. Save time with auto-shipments

Globetrotting is a busy lifestyle. There’s always a plane to catch, and I just don’t have the time or capacity to remember to order more toothbrush heads or floss tips. quip offers convenient auto-refills every 3 months, so I never have to remember to pick up these essentials before I head out for a flight. Plus, you can get your first refill for free (up to $15) if you shop on their site.

quip is key for good oral hygiene on the go

Listen, keeping up with your flossing or making sure your electric toothbrush fits in a carry-on isn't that exciting when it comes to planning a trip. Thankfully, quip makes packing personal care products not just easy, but pretty fun, too, thanks to features like smartphone compatibility and unique color options for its products.

My biggest takeaway for packing efficiently like a globetrotter? Switch to quip. These products are smart and sleek, whether you’re flossing at home or across the world!
