5 Reasons Sundays for Dogs is the Only Dog Food I’ll Ever Feed My Lab

Our yellow Labs are part of our family - my shadow on morning walks, my toddler’s partners-in-crime, and our unofficial vacuum cleaners at dinnertime. Clearly someone this important deserves to be pampered. But when it came to feeding them, I was stuck in total overwhelm. Kibble felt too processed. Frozen fresh food was expensive, messy, and honestly just another thing I didn’t have the time (or freezer space) for. I wasn’t sure where we’d land.

Then I found Sundays for Dogs, and it changed everything.

Here are 5 reasons why Sundays is the best dog food for Labs (and why I’m officially never going back):

1. It’s real food that looks like… food

We all know most dog food looks like little brown pebbles or weird frozen bricks. Not Sundays. When I opened the bag, I actually said, “Wait… this is dog food?” It looks like jerky, smells amazing, and Boone and Buck both lose their minds the second they hear the box come off the shelf. It’s made with 100% real meat, organs, and superfoods - no fillers, no synthetics, no mysterious by-products- just real, human-grade ingredients I can recognize and feel good about.

2. Vet-formulated and made in the USA

This was huge for me. I put a ton of care and energy into what my human daughter eats, why wouldn’t I do the same for Boone and Buck? Sundays was co-founded by a vet and is formulated by animal nutrition experts. It’s made right here in the U.S., in USDA-monitored kitchens with strict standards and quality control. I’m not just trusting a marketing label - this is science-backed nutrition from people who actually know dogs. My guys are thriving on it: Boone especially has a shiny coat that came out of nowhere, they both have that cute playful energy more of the time, and there are way fewer upset tummies.

3. It’s fresh food without the hassle

Sundays isn’t just inspired by fresh food - it is fresh food. Real meat, whole superfoods, and nothing synthetic. The difference? It doesn’t come frozen in giant containers that hog your freezer space. No more defrosting overnight, rushing to heat it up, or dealing with sloppy dishes. Sundays is air-dried to keep all the nutrients intact, and it’s shelf-stable, so I can scoop it straight from the box and serve it in seconds. It’s everything I wanted in fresh dog food - minus the stress, mess, and time suck.

4. It’s delicious

I haven’t technically tasted it - but I’ve thought about it. That’s how good this stuff smells. More importantly, one of my dogs was originally leaving unfinished bowls of kibble, which is odd for a Lab and left me worried and wondering how to better support him on a budget. Now he’s treating every mealtime like it’s his birthday. He sits, tail wagging, waiting for his bowl like it’s the best part of his day (because it is). I don’t blame him. If I were a dog, I’d be licking the bowl too.

5. Labs deserve food that works as hard as they do

Labs are active, loyal, always-on dogs. They deserve food that keeps up - and Sundays delivers. It’s packed with high-quality protein from real meat (not by-products), nutrient-dense superfoods, and nothing that weighs them down. Since switching, Boone and Buck have more stamina on our hikes, and the vet even commented on their muscle tone at our last checkup. My pups look and feel amazing - and that peace of mind is priceless.

If you have a Lab, serve Sundays stat

So yes, I’m that mom now - the one who talks about her dog’s food like it’s a Michelin-star meal. But if you’ve got a Lab (or honestly, any dog you love like family), Sundays is worth every single penny. Clean, healthy, easy, and actually enjoyable - for both of you. Go order a box and you’ll see exactly what I mean.
