4 Ways This Air-Dried Dog Food Really Surprised Me (And My Dogs)

Editor's Note: Sundays' Black Friday deal just dropped and boy is it GOOD. Get 50% off your first box - trust us, this deal comes only ONCE per year, so you're going to want to hop on it NOW.

With two fussy Boston terriers, Kona and Gator, at home, I feel like I’m constantly trying to find food and treats that fit their picky taste preferences, while also ensuring they are getting the nutrients they need. They’re shockingly finicky!

When I came across Sundays dog food online, I thought it was just another trendy dog food brand that came with lengthy prep instructions and a weird list of wet, raw ingredients. Not only that, but I figured it would be another food that Gator and Kona would turn their little noses up at.

To my surprise and delight, Sundays is actually everything my dogs and I could have asked for. Here’s all the ways Sundays has completely blown our preconceptions out of the water:

1. Their meat + superfood recipes have the same ingredients I’d buy at the farmer’s market (and they LOVE it) 🥬🫐🍄

My Boston terriers are silly and special in so many ways, from the way Kona sploots on command to how Gator wriggles around on his back whenever we have company. Another quirk? They both love to eat, yet they turn up their noses at EVERYTHING.

Sundays surprised me with how they can make a complete and balanced meal using only natural ingredients from whole foods, and my pups can tell the difference. Gator and Kona love the Turkey recipe, which is made with their favorite protein alongside other healthful ingredients, like pumpkin, blueberries, and shiitake mushrooms.

Editor's Note: What are you waiting for? Deals like this only come 'round 1x per year. Trust us, your pup (& wallet!!!) will thank you.

2. I was shocked at how easy it was to serve the ready-to-eat dry food—no more impatient pups! 🐶

Gator and Kona can be a little demanding around mealtime. They aren’t afraid to let me know that they’re hungry, and they want to eat, NOW. Whether that’s grunting with dissatisfaction or standing directly behind me while I grab my own snack, staring at me until I feel shamed, my dogs clearly don’t like to wait long.

So we all really appreciate that Sundays has the flavor and appeal of fresh food without the hassle: think no kitchen messes, refrigeration/freezing, and no advanced thawing. The air-dried food is ready to eat straight from the box, so I can just pour it into Kona’s and Gator’s food bowls for a quick meal — with no more judgmental, hangry stares.

3. Clean, natural and human-grade ingredients—without the high price tag—give me and my wallet peace of mind 💰

I want Kona and Gator to be in good health for as long as possible, so keeping their diet healthy is a top priority for me, but dog food is expensive! I’ve checked out tons of different store brand dog foods, but the recipes always seem…suspicious. They lack enough protein or are packed with fillers and synthetics. I’ve thought about fresh-cooked food, but it’s pricey (and a hassle).

I thought it’d be the same old story with Sundays, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Sundays dog food is made with all-natural and even human-grade ingredients, but it can cost 40% less than fresh-cooked food. But it has all the good stuff that fresh does, without the heavy freezer boxes and thawing. Sounds too good to be true, but it’s not. I swear!

4. This mess-free dog food doesn’t give me the ick to handle 😳

While I was excited to find a dog food made with clean, all-natural ingredients, I was worried that Sundays would be a wet, messy food that I’d have to prep for the dogs each day. Again, this brand proved me wrong.

The food is actually gently air-dried to eliminate pathogens and to act as a natural preservation technique—basically, the food lasts longer after opening and retains a slight moisture, but I don’t have to worry about getting messy, greasy dog food all over my hands.

No more ‘Sundays scaries’ for us 🐕

Honestly, I thought Sundays was going to be another over-hyped dog food brand making the rounds online, but Gator and Kona have made it clear that this food is here to stay in their bowls. From the healthy, air-dried ingredients to the mess-free prep, at an affordable price, Sundays is a win-win for our family.

If you’ve been considering a new dog food for your furry friend, consider Sundays and get 40% off—it’s Gator- and Kona-approved!
