I place a high premium on quality ingredients in the food I eat, and I was thrilled to discover Wildgrain products are all made with clean, high-quality ingredients.
Their plain sourdough bread (my personal favorite) is made with only four ingredients: organic wheat flour, water, salt, and sourdough starter. That’s it.
Unlike conventional breads, which are made with commercial yeast, the long fermentation process of sourdough breads not only lends its distinctive tangy flavor, but it also provides a number of health benefits. For example, sourdough bread is easier to digest than conventional breads, and it has a lower glycemic index, which means it won't cause a rapid spike in blood sugar levels (and a notable crash an hour later).
