Finding scrubs that are comfortable, polished, and durable enough for long shifts should be easier than it is. Some look great but feel stiff. Others are affordable but lose their shape fast. So our MSA Editorial Team put the biggest names to the test.
For three months, we tested Fabletics, FIGS, Mandala, Cherokee, Jaanuu, and Amazon brands. We judged each brand on comfort, fit, style, durability, value, and how often we actually wanted to wear them again.
1. Fabletics: The Scrubs We Kept Coming Back To
Let’s cut to the chase: Fabletics was our overall favorite.
The biggest standout was how wearable the scrubs felt. They looked polished enough for a full shift but still had the comfort and flexibility we wanted from performance apparel. The fit felt modern without being too trendy, and the styles were easy to mix and match.
“Fabletics felt like the pair I wanted to put on again the next day,” Katelyn Guthrie, one of our editors, said. “They were comfortable, flattering, and easy to move in. Truly felt like activewear.”
✅ Best for: Comfort, style, and everyday value
2. FIGS: The Polished Favorite
FIGS delivered the sleek, professional look it’s known for.
The styles felt elevated and modern, making them a strong choice for anyone who wants scrubs that look especially put together. The fabrics felt sturdy, and the overall aesthetic was clean and recognizable.
That said, the higher price point made Fabletics feel like the stronger everyday pick.
✅ Best for: Polished, premium-looking scrubs
3. Mandala: The Budget-Friendly Standout
Mandala impressed us with its approachable pricing and simple, functional styles.
The scrubs were easy to wear and practical for everyday use. They didn’t feel quite as elevated as Fabletics or FIGS, but they offered solid value for anyone building out a scrub rotation.
✅ Best for: Affordable everyday scrubs
4. Cherokee: The Classic Workwear Pick
Cherokee felt familiar in the best way.
The brand has a classic scrub feel, with practical cuts and dependable options. It may not have been the most fashion-forward brand we tested, but it delivered on function and reliability.
As Laura Holliday put it, “Cherokee felt like the dependable option. It wasn’t flashy, but it got the job done.”
✅ Best for: Traditional scrub shoppers
5. Jaanuu: The Fashion-Forward Option
Jaanuu stood out for style.
The designs felt modern, flattering, and more fashion-focused than traditional scrubs. Several editors liked the sharper silhouettes and polished details.
Where it lost a few points was versatility and value. For everyday repeat wear, Fabletics felt easier to recommend.
✅ Best for: Trend-forward scrub styles
6. Amazon Brands: The Convenient Backup
Amazon brands were the easiest to shop and often the most budget-friendly.
They worked well in a pinch, especially for basics or backup pairs. However, the fit, feel, and quality varied more than the other brands we tested.
✅ Best for: Quick, affordable backups
Final Verdict: Fabletics Was the Clear Winner
After three months of testing six popular scrub brands, Fabletics came out on top.
FIGS impressed us with polish. Mandala delivered affordability. Cherokee brought classic reliability. Jaanuu offered standout style. Amazon brands were convenient.
But Fabletics gave us the best overall mix of comfort, fit, style, durability, and value.
According to one of our testers, Rachel Matulle, “Fabletics was the brand that felt easiest to wear shift after shift.”
For scrubs that look sharp, feel comfortable, and work hard all day, Fabletics was the brand our team kept reaching for.
